August 28, 2025GATE 2026 registration is now open at gate2026.iitg.ac.in for admission to M.Tech and research programs. Candidates can submit their applications without a late fee until September 28, 2025, while the deadline with a late fee is October 9, 2025. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026, in two sessions.
August 25, 2025The GATE 2026 registration has been postponed to August 28, 2025. Regular applications close on September 28, with late submissions accepted until October 9. Exams will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, and results on March 19.
August 11, 2025Orientation Programme for Newly Admitted Students - The Orientation Programme for newly admitted students will commence on 25 August 2025. All candidates admitted to UG 1st Year through JoSAA/CSAB/DASA/CSAB-NEUT are required to complete Physical Reporting at the institute from 20 August 2025 to 23 August 2025. Students must read the instructions carefully and report on their allotted date and time. The detailed schedule for the Orientation Programme will be shared shortly. Venue: Institute Auditorium, PEC Chandigarh. (Event Date: 2025-08-25)

Registration for GATE 2026 will begin on August 25 and will close on September 25 without a late fee, and on October 6 with a late fee. The exam is scheduled for February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026.
