For the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad placements, more than 200 companies are invited by the IIT Hyderabad placement cell every year for the students of the final year of different disciplines and departments of the institution.
Final year students are trained well for the placement rounds by the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad placement cell. It is the responsibility of the placement cell to encourage students to take part in the placement process so that they can achieve their desired goals. The placement cell helps students to prepare well for the written test and personal interview rounds where the presentation skills and capabilities of the students are evaluated by the companies. The process of gaining confidence and facing the upcoming challenges is initiated by the IIT Hyderabad placement cell.
Both Government and Private organisations are invited for the IIT Hyderabad placements. Some of the topmost companies which visit the campus for placements are Honeywell, Accenture, Adobe Systems, ISRO, HPCL, L&T Constructions, Bank of America, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, etc.
The Phase-1 of the placement drive for 2019-20 batch at the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT-H) has begun with a strong start, with 53 offers made on the first slot of the first day. At IIT-H, the placements are done in three slots. The 53 offers which had been made in the first slot of the day had been brought forth by 15 different companies. Last year, there had been a total of 56 offers that had been made at the end of the first day of the placement drive.
At the end of the Phase-1 of the placement 2020 session at the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, 271 offers from 96 different companies have been offered to the students. Among the offers that have been made to the students, there had been a total of 37 Pre-Placement offers, that had been offered to meritorious students who impressed companies who had recruited them for their internships.
The first phase of the 2019-20 placement drive at IIT-H has been scheduled to be held between 1st December 2019 and 12th December 2019. Between 7 am to 12 midnight, IIT-H students will be participating in the placement process every day, in three slots.
Out of the 2019-20 batch, 483 students, in total, have registered themselves for the placement drive. At IIT-H, there have been a total of 224 companies that have registered in Phase-1 of the placement drive. Last year, there had been 150 companies who had registered themselves for the Phase-1 of the placement drive at the Institute. Last year, IIT-H saw a total of 244 companies who had registered for the placement process, in both Phase-1 and Phase-2.
Among the offers that had been made this year, 6 offers came from international companies such as TSMC, SMS DataTech and NTT-AT. Moreover, the institute also witnessed the participation of many first-time recruiters as well. Among the top first-time recruiters, companies such as Bajaj Auto, Jaguar, BookMyShow, Sprinkler, Cogoport, among many more.
This year, the participation from the female students at IIT Hyderabad has also been impressive. Microsoft had come up with the highest number of offers with 17 offers being made to the students. Out of these, 5 offers had been grabbed by the female students at IIT Hyderabad. There had been 3 offers made by Goldman Sachs, 2 of which had been offered to female students as well.
The placement drive which had been held between 1st December 2019 and 12th December 2019. During the placement session, the 15 companies, from 3 different countries including USA, Japan and Taiwan had offered a total of 38 international offers to the students.
Other highlights of the Phase-1 of the placement drive include 37 pre-placement offers being made to students as well, during the first phase of the placement drive for 2020 batch. Among the PPOs, there had been 2 international PPOs made as well. Most of these offers made have been in the Information Technology or Information Technology-Enabled Services (IT/ITES), which have also, mostly been offered to the undergraduate students at the institute.

Many more companies are expected to visit the campus of the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad during the entire placement process for the batch of 2020. This year, the number of offers as well as the variety of job profiles that will be offered to the students are expected to increase.
The pre-placement offers of IIT Hyderabad in the year 2019 has doubled. In the IIT Hyderabad PPOs most of the offers came from IT/ITES.

IIT Hyderabad Phase 1 placements 2018-19 have been concluded. This year, 80 companies made 213 offers. Compared to the previous year, there is a slight improvement in the number of participating companies and offers. A total number of 418 students registered for phase 1 of IIT Hyderabad placements 2018-19.
IIT Hyderabad placements 2018-19 began on December 01, 2018, on a robust note. Around 130 companies are going to take part in the campus recruitment process this year. A total of 418 students registered for campus placement process and the first phase placement process of IIT Hyderabad that concluded on December 22, 2018.

The first phase of campus placements at Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad was a successful one.
