NIT Srinagar Placement Process

The placement process followed at the National Institute of Technology Srinagar makes sure that each student gets a chance to explore and give their skills a chance to be put to use for the betterment of life. The expert training and placement cell (TPC) staff of NIT Srinagar have created an elaborate 7-step placement process to recruit the best minds and allow each to participate in the placement drives. 

• First, the training and placement cell staff sends invitations to the companies that may become the future recruiters of their students. 
• Upon receiving the formal invitation and the Job Notification Form (JNF), they fill it up and send it back to the training and placement cell staff.
• The TPC schedules the pre-placement talks per the data and details received from the recruiters or the companies. 
• The students are then informed about the NIT Srinagar placement drive and are asked to register for the same within a stipulated time frame. 
• Per the guidelines, the students register themselves for placements with various companies for the placement drive. 
• The recruiting companies visit the campus of NIT Srinagar and conduct pre-placement talks for the students. 
• The placement rounds are scheduled by the training and placement cell after consulting with the company recruiters’ availability.

Once the schedule for the placement process is set between the TPC and the company officials, the students of NIT are notified about the same and are asked to participate in the same to give their best. The students are evaluated at the scheduled time by the companies in various rounds, including but not limited to personal interviews, group discussions, tests, etc. Once all the rounds of the evaluation are completed, the companies send a list of the selected students to the training and placement cell along with the offer letter. The TPC staff sends the offer letters to the respective students of NIT Srinagar, who then join the companies on the set joining date and start a bright career.
