Recruitment for Clerk-cum-Data Entry Operator - Advt. No. 01/2024 - The qualifying test of Punjabi Language and written test for recruitment to the post of Clerk-cum-Data Entry Operator has been scheduled to be held on 23.08.2025. A file containing the approved Test Structure/Syllabus for the qualifying test of Punjabi Language and written test is attached herewith. The link to download the Admit Cards will be uploaded soon. Candidates may visit the PAU’s website regularly. **Part–A:** Qualifying test of Punjabi Language equivalent to Matriculation standard. The candidate shall also be required to pass qualifying test of Punjabi language equivalent to Matriculation Standard with at least 50% marks to be conducted in addition to competitive examination. Failure to secure a minimum 50% marks will disqualify the candidate. 1. The Punjabi Language test of Multiple Choice Type Questions will be conducted on OMR sheet. 2. There will be 50 multiple choice questions. 3. There will be no negative marking for the written test. For each correct answer, the candidate will be awarded one mark. 4. Part B will be evaluated only if a candidate scores minimum 50% marks (i.e. 25 marks) in Part A. **Part-B:** Written Test 1. The written test of Multiple Choice Type Questions will be conducted on OMR sheet. 2. There will be 100 multiple choice questions of 25 questions of each of the following subjects: English Matric Standard, Arithmetic Matric Standard, General Knowledge, E-tendering. 3. The G.K. and E-tendering sections of the question paper will be in English language only, whereas the Arithmetic section will be in both English and Punjabi. 4. There will be negative marking for the written test. For each correct answer, the candidate will be awarded one mark. ¼ mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. The candidate will have to qualify the written test with at least 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% marks in each subject. The total time allowed for both parts will be 2½ hours. Candidates must pass both tests to qualify for the typewriting test in English and Punjabi with a speed of 30 w.p.m. on computer before appointment. The merit list will be prepared based on the aggregate marks obtained in the written test and type test. Interview will not be conducted.

Announcement of French Courses and Certificate Course in Interactive Skills and Personality Enhancement for 2025-26 - Punjab Agricultural University is offering a One Year Diploma Course in French and a One Year Certificate Course in French for the academic year 2025-26. The Diploma Course requires a graduate degree and a one-year certificate in French or equivalent, with classes held five times a week. The Certificate Course in French is open to graduates in any subject, with classes thrice a week in the evening. Additionally, a Certificate Course in Interactive Skills and Personality Enhancement is available for graduates, lasting six months with classes thrice a week in the evening. Interviews for these courses will be held on August 12 and 13, 2025, respectively. Admissions are determined by entrance exam results and previous academic merit. JEE Main, AAT, DAT, and other national-level entrance exams are accepted. The university also conducts its own entrance tests like the CET and MET. For PhD course, PAU written test and interview is required.
