PAU CET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

PAU CET eligibility criteria 2026 outline the academic qualifications, age requirements, and other conditions that candidates must meet to apply for various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes offered by the university and sit for the PAU CET exam 2026. For undergraduate courses such as B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Tech. in Food Technology, and B.Sc. (Hons.) Community Science applicants must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognised board with the relevant subject combinations, typically including Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, or Agriculture, as per the programme requirements. 

For B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture 4-Year Programme – candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology / Mathematics / Agriculture as compulsory subjects and at least 50% aggregate marks for general candidates and 45% for SC / ST candidates. For B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering), students must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and minimum aggregate marks as per category norms. For B.Sc. (Hons.) Community Science applicants must have passed 10+2 in any stream with English as a compulsory subject.

4-Year B.Tech in Food Technology

  • Students must be at least 10+2 qualified from a recognised Board, having studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics/Agriculture, with a combined qualifying exam score of over 50%.
  • Additionally, students with a Food Processing and Preservation certificate from SLIET, Longowal, can also apply.

4-Year B.Tech in Biotechnology

Students must be at least 10+2 qualified from a recognised Board, having studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics/Agriculture, with a combined qualifying exam score of over 50%.

4-Year B.Sc (Hons) in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agribusiness Management. Nutrition & Dietetics

  • Students must be at least 10+2 qualified from a recognised Board, having studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics/Agriculture, with a combined qualifying exam score of over 50%.
  • Students with a 2-year diploma in Agriculture can also apply.

5-Year Integrated M.Sc. (Hons.) Programmes (Biochemistry/Botany/Zoology/Chemistry/Microbiology)

Students must be at least 10+2 qualified from a recognised Board, having studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics/Agriculture, with a combined qualifying exam score of over 50%.
