BTech Civil Engineering Cutoff in NITs — 2026 Predictions

B.Tech Civil Engineering Cutoff in NITs for 2026: Aspiring JEE Main 2026 candidates target the Civil Engineering cutoffs in India's premier NITs, lured by the attraction of infrastructure-related projects and the security of employment that comes with core engineering jobs. For 2026, the expected cutoff ranks for top NITs in India 2026 such as NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, and NIT Warangal, are likely to go up by 5-10% without even an increase in the number of seats. Likely cutoff ranks for NIT Warangal are expected to be around 26,000-28,000, while good mid-range colleges such as NIT Jalandhar may go beyond 45,000. If you are targeting the most sought-after seats in Trichy or Surathkal, a cutoff rank of under 20,000 should be sufficient. For good colleges such as NIT Rourkela or NIT Calicut, a cutoff rank of 25,000-35,000 may be adequate. Cutoffs of under 45,000 should get you into most colleges.

The expected percentile for 200-250 marks in JEE Main 2026 is around 99.8 to 99.9. The JEE Main Percentile score is calculated based on the relative performance of candidates taking the JEE Main exam. It is not the same as the percentage of marks obtained. NTA (National Testing Agency) uses the normalisation formula to compute applicants' JEE Main percentile scores before generating the JEE Main rank list. If you score 200 to 250 marks in JEE Mains, you will most likely fall under the 99 percentile category, which is considered very good in terms of admission into the top NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs in the country. This article highlights the expected percentile range for JEE Main 2026 marks between 200 and 250.
