RK University was founded in 2009. Rajkot, Gujarat, is the home of RKU. It has ties to Gujarat Technological University (GTU). AICTE has approved RKU. The University Grants Commission recognises RKU. RKU aspires to be a premier educational institution that prepares students to be responsible global citizens who are attentive to the needs of others in their community. RKU belongs to the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

RKU provides diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate degrees in Management, Computer Applications, Engineering, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, and Science. RKU offers admission to these courses every year.

This ranking was provided to RK University by NIRF, which comes under the Ministry of Education in India. Nestled among lush green, pollution-free environments, the RKU Rajkot campus is over 100 acres, providing students ample space to learn and grow. Located centrally along NH 48, the campus of RKU is easily accessible by road. In addition, RK University has a fleet of buses for staff and students. 

Most of the RK University Rajkot courses offered by students are based on the state-held GUJCET examinations. Courses like MBA and MCA might require the student to have cleared CAT/MAT/CMAT. Publications of RK University

Students at RKU are expected to conduct their own research and submit a thesis, articles and books about the same. The different streams offer numerous opportunities to students, and the faculty are closely involved in providing support, guidance and assistance during the process.  Apart from that, RK University has appointed a few of its faculty to the University Fellowship Program to scrutinize research proposals submitted by students.

Student Projects of RK University

The students at RKU Rajkot are encouraged to participate in various academic and non-academic activities to show their prowess in different fields. Mr Dilip Sarvaiya, a student of B.Tech Engineering, won the IncubateIND Developer Tech Camp-Open Source Hackathon for his invaluable contribution to open-source GIT projects.

Miss Vidisha Thakar received the Best Paper Award at the fourth Global Ayurveda Festival, for her paper presentation.  

Student Counseling of RK University

There are various seminars and programs organized by the different schools of RK University to provide counselling to their students with regard to the careers they have chosen. Awareness seminars, goals setting seminars, and new business development are some initiatives taken by the School of Pharmacy.

• There is an Institute Industry Interaction Cell that is maintained on campus. The primary purpose of setting up this cell at RKU is to encourage bilateral relations between universities and industries. This provides students with more excellent first-hand opportunities for practical experiences and growth.
• The training and placement cell on RK University Rajkot campus ensures that students get all the support they need while finding placements that perfectly match their skills and fields of expertise.
• RK University also offers a host of compulsory internships to its students. These range from four to fourteen weeks as per the requirements of different streams. This gives students ample hands-on experience so they are ready to deal with problems that might arise during the period of their work.

Eligibility- A post-graduate (Master's) degree (full-time programme from a UGC-recognized university or institute) or equivalent (as validated by a government agency such as AICTE, UGC, or AIU) with at least 55% marks or an equivalent CGPA is required of prospective applicants.

RK University Training and Placement Unit aids students in their search for suitable employment. The placement cell is run by a professor who works full time. 9.28 lakhs was the highest placement package. 2.41 lakhs was the average placement package. Yellow Pages, Trade in India, Vadilal, Sterling, Malabar, Times of India, IDBI Bank, HCL, Coca-Cola, Dainik Bhaskar, IIFL, and other companies have in the past hired candidates.

This also gives the students and staff of RK University the opportunity to bond with each other and foster healthy student mentor bonds.The Student Organization Advisory Council (SOAC) at RKU is a body set up with the intention of allowing students to flourish while expressing the various talents they possess. There are a number of activities held under the banner of SOAC. 

Since this student body is recognized by RK University, it is able to organize a number of cultural, academic, and recreational events, along with professional conferences, chapter activities, and also sports and track events.

• Industry visit to Gopal Snacks Pvt, Ltd. for students of BBA to provide them with exposure to the environment in factories and mechanical line ups.
• The cultural events include various dances and skits organized by SOAC.
• Cultural event 2021 organized on the event of Foundation Day, included various events like the song and dance performances, rangoli making, and sketching.
• Hands-on workshop on “Pulmonary Function Test-Spirometry” organized by the School of Physiotherapy witnessed the participation of numerous colleges from all over the state.
