Overall: My Graduating college and one of the oldest colleges in Kolkata. Established in 1830 and now offers courses in both arts and sciences. Offering post graduation courses in chemistry and botany and commerce.
Infrastructure: The college has a heritage building and nice ambience conducive to academic pursuits.Neat and well maintained since time immemorial and one of the top colleges.
Faculty: It's a oldest college in kolkata with good facilities & faculties. No ragging, No politics at all , student life will be great here. College is very nice and disciplined.
Hostel: One of the top colleges in India; a Christian minority institution founded by the Scottish missionary Rev. Dr. Alexander Duff in 1830; the alma mater of a galaxy of illustrious Indians including Swami Vivekananda, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Brajendra Nath Seal, Nirad C Chaudhuri, Chandramukhi Basu, Asima Chatterjee. NAAC Grade 'A' institution since 2004. A College with the Potential for Excellence from 2007 to 2020. In the service of nation with its tradition of liberal and quality education for an enviably long period of nearly two hundred years
Overall: This college has provided Me lots of opportunities and seminars as I have attended most of them. But my sole concern relies upon the fact that some teachers are being aggressive regarding our personal life and do sometimes bothers us on top of it judging us by our internal matters and they tend to keep a keen eye on the flattery ones for favours. In short join this college if you want to become a teacher's pet.
Placement: Unlike other institutions Scottish has been well known for the better placements and entry level packages at the top companies around India and global companies so if you are a freshman consider keeping good grades so you will be selected against the odds and ya do keep up with old year syllabus may come in handy if groups like tcs, mahindra,E and Y are at the interview table if front you then you might feel uneasy and dumb so keep good grades and follow up as good as you probably can....
Infrastructure: This college has tremendous performance while maintaining its old vibes and style the Jubilee building is a modern exception rather than that collection of trees books will leave you bewildered.
Faculty: If we don't talk about the teachers I think that's the best part one or two teachers don't have common English sense of pronounciation they say (minussing) like say subtracting what's minussing anyways they are good friendly and supportive in all ways you may feel comfortable and hang around with them but don't expect University level of bonding you know what I mean right ??
Hostel: If you know how the boys hostel be like parents beware get hold of your child or if necessary please give him a pg to stay otherwise you may lose the basic character of your child. I personally got some bad habits so I don't recommend hostel personally
Overall: College has great infrastructure with access to central library of main building. The placement cell tries its best to get every students placed. The highest package offered by a company was 7 lakh and that is great if you keep in mind ROI .If you have the potential you will surely get decent placements.
Placement: T.m sir is the head of placement cell and is a humble guy and helps every student individually as well and give them tips on how to get placed, If you have that calliber surely you will get the best of it.
Infrastructure: their is not enough place inside classroom to get every student seated and that's a shame considering it to be a college of utmost fame. From outside the building looks great
Faculty: the faculty doesn't matches upto the name that this college has you will have to work on your own in order to even pass the examinations, can't expect much from faculty
Hostel: the food served here is average, the building provided is great and they take care of security specially recommended for girls. overall the hostel is best among the above given sections
