Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology (SNIST), Hyderabad, is sponsored by Sree Educational Group. It was put in place in the year 1997 in Hyderabad, India by the chairman, Dr. K. T. Mahhe. Dr. K. T. Mahhe is an educationist, a leader, and an entrepreneur. He has ample experience in academia and industry, and he’s known for his achievements, awards, and recognition.

Sree Educational Society is a non-profitable organisation and is committed to establishing educational institutions, appointing noble faculties, and improving the academic strength of the students through its teaching technologies.

SNIST is accredited by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU). The main objective of the institute is to attract and retain talented staff in the faculty to ensure the standard and quality of education are not overlooked. SNIST aims to deliver quality education to its undergraduate students in the stream of engineering. The faculty is a team of learned, well-qualified people. Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology has 3 departments: B.Tech, M.Tech, and MBA. The institute offers 11 courses under B. Tech, 6 courses under M. Tech, and 1 course under MBA. SNIST has signed an MoU with Murata Electronics (Ptd) Ltd., Singapore for the development and testing of the Smart Micro Irrigation System (MIS). With advanced technologies such as IoT and data analytics, the objective of this MoU is to build an ecosystem for testing future agri-tech products for Indian farmers.

SNIST has signed an MoU with Dhruva Space to establish a Space Technology Centre. It’s one of the first technical institutes to create a space technology centre on its campus, which will include a ground station, an R&D centre, and a testing lab. The Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology has launched SREESAT-1 from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Hyderabad. SNIST is planning to enhance its space technology to design and develop payloads based on research by collaborating with industry, faculty, and students.

The eligibility requirements for SNIST UG courses are listed below:

• Category A seats (70% of the seats): these seats will be filled based on the merit obtained in Telangana State’s Entrance Exam TS EAMCET. 
• Category B seats (30% of the seats): These seats will be filled as per the rules stated by the State Government and guidelines laid by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education. These seats will be filled by the management of the institute.

The SNIST admissions for M.Tech courses in all specialisations are made based on the rules set by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education.

• Category A seats (70% of the seats): these seats will be filled based on the merit obtained in Telangana State’s Entrance Exams TSPGECET and GATE. These seats will be filled by the convener, PGECET.
• Category B seats (30% of the seats): These seats will be filled as per the rules stated by the State Government and guidelines laid by the State Council of Higher Education. These seats will be filled by the management of the institute.

The SNIST admissions requirements for the MBA programme are as follows:

• The applicant should hold a bachelor’s degree in any field with a 50% aggregate score for OC and 45% marks for others.
• An applicant should have passed the TS ICET organised by TSCHE.
• The nationality of the applicant should be Indian and he/she should satisfy the Local/Non-Local Status requirements as stated by Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions.
  • 70% of the seats will be filled by the convener TS ICET based on the merit obtained in the state-level common entrance examination (ICET).
  • 30% of the seats will be allocated as per the guidelines laid down by TSCHE and the rules issued by the government. These seats shall be filled by management as per the above regulations.

For Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology admission, the student has to enter the code SNIS for counselling purposes in EAMCET, ECET, and ICET.

The SNIST application procedure is given below:

• The student has to register online on the official website for
  • TS EAMCET exam for admission into SNIST B. Tech programme
  • TS PGECET exam for admission into SNIST M. Tech programme
  • TS ICET exam for admission into SNIST MBA programme
• After registering, the applicant has to provide personal details and complete the application form by uploading and submitting the required documents.
• The applicant has to pay the application fee and submit the form for the respective exams.
• On successful submission of the form, download and take a printout of the form.
• After completion of the respective exams, based on the score and the merit generated, the students can opt for admission to SNIST through the counselling process.

The Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology admissions are done through TS EAMCET for B. Tech, TS PGECET for M. Tech, and TS ICET for MBA.

• The SNIST application fee for the TS EAMCET exam is Rs 500 for the general category and INR 250 for the reserved category of students.
• The SNIST application fee for the TS PGECET exam is Rs 1000 for the general category and INR 500 for the reserved category of students.
• The SNIST application fee for the TS ICET exam is Rs 650 for the general category and INR 450 for the reserved category of students.

SNIST admissions to UG courses are based on the TS EAMCET scores, so students must clear the SNIST TS EAMCET cutoff to get accepted into the institute. The TS EAMCET cutoff is divided into qualifying marks and closing ranks. Students must secure qualifying marks in order to participate in the TS EAMCET counselling process and seat allotments. Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology offers undergraduate courses in various specialisations such as ECE, IT, CSE, EEE, ECM, CSE (DS), and many more. The TS EAMCET cutoff marks are determined by a number of factors, including the total number of students taking the exam, the difficulty level of the exam, seats available, the total number of questions, and the previous year SNIST TS EAMCET cutoff. SNIST TS EAMCET cutoff 2023 hasn’t been released yet, but students can refer to the SNIST TS EAMCET cutoff 2021 given on our website to get an idea of the changes in the TS EAMCET cutoff trends. 

1. For SNIST B.Tech admissions, valid scores in the TS EAMCET is accepted.
2. For SNIST M.Tech admission, a valid score in TS PGECET is required.
3. For SNIST admission into the MBA programme, the score of the TS ICET Examination will be considered.

Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology have various extracurricular activities organised for the students for their overall development by the student clubs of the college. Some of those clubs are listed below:

• Robotics: The club invites students from various branches and uses the latest technologies such as AI, IoT, and haptics to develop robots.
• ARTS: Sargam, Nritya, Kalakriti, Abhinaya, Sahithi, and Shakti. These are the platforms offered by this club for students to present their talents.
• Bachpan Prayas: It’s a student-run non-profit NGO built with the vision of educating and promoting happy childhood.

The following regulations are set and every student should follow them at the Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology:

• Instruction pattern: The duration of the B.Tech course is 4 years, and each year is divided into 2 semesters—even and odd.
• Instruction Days: There will be a minimum of 180 instructional days in a year. It means 90 instructional days for each semester.
• Attendance requirements: Every student at SNIST should meet the attendance requirements to be eligible to write the semester-end examinations.
  • A minimum of 75% attendance in each subject.
  • On medical grounds, a shortfall of attendance of up to 10% may be allowed by the academic committee.
  • If a student has cumulative attendance in all the subjects below 65%, he/she cannot register for semester-end exams.
  • A minimum of 20 credits and a maximum of 28 credits can be registered by a student in any semester.  
• Academic requirements
  • The student should score a minimum of 35% in semester-end exams and 40% in mid-session and semester-end exams combined to satisfy the minimum academic requirement.
  • The student will be eligible for promotion from the first to the second year only if he/she meets the minimum attendance requirement and obtains 50% of the credits.
  • The student will be eligible for promotion from the second to the third year only if he/she obtains 60% of the credits. Meeting attendance requirements may not be necessary.
  • The student will be eligible for promotion from the third to the fourth year only if he/she obtains 72 credits out of 120 credits up to the third year.
  • The student will be awarded a degree of B. Tech on completion of 4 years and scoring a minimum CGPA of 5.

SNIST has to offer world-class infrastructure to its students for learning and their overall development. Some salient features are listed here.

• Wifi enabled campus for 24X7 connectivity and digital classrooms
• SNIST has studios for video lectures. Its mission is to develop video lectures for all subjects with the help of high-end studios. There are 2 studios available, each measuring 10X12 feet in dimension.
• Well-equipped laboratories for research and development.
• Hostel accommodation is available for the students in a 6-story building. The hostels can accommodate 126 women and 164 men.
• The institute provides transport facilities to its students and faculty staff. Around 2000 students and 500 faculty and staff members use the college-owned buses. The college owns 40 buses. 15 of those are ac buses, and 18 are non-ac buses.

• SNIST has a central library, which was put in place with the vision of providing easy access to the resources, journals, and publications to the students, faculty members, and staff. The library is open on all days except public holidays and Sundays.
• SNIST also has a dispensary to cater to the students, the faculty, or any member of the institute in case of any emergency. It provides medicine to the students and staff at no cost.
• For the disabled, the institute has wheelchairs, separate washrooms, and lifts.
• The institute has a guest house facility for the invited official guests and they will be charged no rent.
