SRMIST Welcomes Future Doctors and Dentists at 2025 MBBS & BDS Induction Ceremony - The induction ceremony for the 2025 MBBS and BDS students at SRM Institute of Science and Technology marks the beginning of their academic journey in the field of medicine and dentistry. Mr. Rajesh Bhushan IAS (Retd), Former Health Secretary of India, emphasized the importance of developing oneself as a complete human being alongside academic excellence. Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Nitin M Nagarkar highlighted the need for competency-based education that includes communication, ethics, compassion, and clinical reasoning. Vice-Chancellor Mr. C. Muthamizhchelvan encouraged students to engage in research and community service from the undergraduate level. The ceremony was attended by SRMIST leadership, who reaffirmed the institute's commitment to shaping resilient and responsible professionals dedicated to serving society with integrity.
SRM University offers several scholarships, fee waiver schemes, teaching and research assistance to meritorious and deserving students. Large number of students tremendously benefit from such schemes. In 2015 2016 nearly 2366 students benefited from various schemes with total of Rs. 27 crores distributed as scholarship.
To encourage and support students of exemplary talent, several scholarship are instituted to recognize excellence in academic, sports and deserving candidates. The quantum of scholarship and the number of scholarships are subject to change from time to time.
