Seth Shankarlal Lahoti Law College - SSLLC Gulbarga - SSLLC
Gulbarga is Divisional Head Quarter. It is a historical city. This is on the main line (C.Rly) between Mumbai and Chennai. Two great Saints namely “Sri. Sharanabasaveshwar” and “Hajrat Khaja Banda Nawaj” lived in the city. Recently “Siddharth Buddha Vihar” is established which serves as a great tribute to Buddha, Basava & Ambedkar who struggled and dedicated their lives for the needy in the society. The Hyderabad Karnataka Education Society was started in the year 1958 with a view to cater to the growing Educational needs of the people of this area and has established a complex of Educational Institutions. Seth Shankaralal Lahoti Law College was started in the year 1960 with a donation from an Industrialist Shri. Rameshchandra Lahoti in the sweet memory of his father. The college is located in a building nearby Railway Station. The college has qualified and experienced teaching staff who take keen interest in teaching and guiding their students. The college also invites Judges, senior Advocates and other legal luminaries for delivering lectures on various legal topics. Late Sri. Mohammad Mahboob Yakub Maniyar has donated the required land for the law college and Sri. Ramesh Chandra Lahoti a noted industrialist of this area donated a generous sum for starting the law college to perpetuate the memory of his father late Sri. Shankarlal Lahoti, The college was started in the year 1960 and it was named as Seth Shankarlal Lahoti Law College.

Library:-The library is the "Heart" of any academic institution and plays an important role in all academic activities. Keeping in view, the aims and objectives of the Law College, the library has been planned and is being developed by a team of qualified professional library staff and guided by the library committee (Council). It has acquired essential books covering wide range of general and special subjects consisting of Text Books, reference Books, Periodicals, Reports including current legal periodicals, serial publication, central and state Acts, Lexicons, Encyclopedia etc. the library is being computerised with the facility of internet & following facility are also made available. MOOT COURT ACTIVITIES:-Co-curricular and extracurricular activities are conducted at S.S.L. Law College throughout the year. ‘Moot-Court’ is one co-curricular activity which plays an important role in a Law student’s life. A meticulous procedure for selecting the students to represent the college in different National Moot Court Competitions. Students are encouraged to participate in ‘Moot-Court Competitions. Students are encouraged to participate in ‘Moot-Court’ right from the First year as this helps them to develop oratory, drafting and research skills. Further, this also provides an opportunity for the students to learn to work as a team and get exposure to the latest legal issues. SPORTS:- College has an excellent and enviable achievements in sports and games. The college has qualified physical instructor to coach the students in various games and sports. The deserving sportsmen are encouraged by the college. Indoor and outdoor sports facilities are provided and regular competitions are held in the college. Students are encouraged to take part in various competition after the class hours. The timing for sports is after class hours.
