The GATE 2026 Admit Card for Computer Science & IT will be available on January 2, 2026 at gate2026.iitg.ac.in. The CS exam is scheduled for February 8, 2026, and will be held in two sessions: CS1 from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and CS2 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
The GATE 2026 schedule for all 30 papers is now out. The exams will take place on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. CS and CE will be conducted in two shifts, while the remaining papers will have a single shift. Admit cards will be released on January 2, 2026.

The student should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC /12th standard or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects. In case of candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes (Category I, 2A,2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.
Course shall be open for candidates who have passed the prescribed qualifying Examinations with not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate of all the years of the degree examination (cumulative sum of secured marks of all the semesters/years divided by the sum of the maximum marks). However, in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and CAT-1, marks shall not be less than 45%.

Admission to Master of Business Administration course shall be open for the candidates who have passed the Bachelor Degree Examination with not less than fifty percent (50%) of the marks in the aggregate of all the years of the degree examinations. However, in the case of candidate from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST and Category-I, the aggregate percentage of marks of all the years of the qualifying examinations shall not be less than forty-five percent.
Admission to Master of Computer Application Course shall be open to the candidates who have passed the Bachelor Degree examinations, with Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Science or Computer Programming or Computer Applications or Business Mathematics or Business Statistics as one of the optional or electives. with not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate of all years of the degree examinations. However, in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Category-I the aggregate percentage of marks of all the years of the qualifying examination shall be not less than 45% .
