Overall Its been around 2 years since I got addmission here, I am pursuing a course of BTech in Civil Engineering and I am currently in my 2nd year of the college. The experience is quite moderate like if we talk about the campus size its not so big, in the websites and in internet you will find it to he more than around 450+ or much acre but in reality the real campus in which the actual college and classes are being done is much smaller in comparision, you can watch youtube vlogs regarding it. Now talking about hostel, its also average, you will get bad food as you are in hostel, and the living conditions and rooms are quite nice and good I will say.The best thing is that everyone will get hostel as there is around 13+ hostel including boys and girls. Now if we talk about the culture, its very much intresting as the college have a lot of clubs like 20+, it has all music, dance, dramatics and technical clubs like robotics, Coding, Enterprenuer cell and many more. Now if we talk about the classes and studies its also quite nice as you get digitalized classrooms, and smartboards in every classroom, the professor are also very decent and higly educated like of most of them have a degree of IIT or NITS in MTech or Phd. You will get a large books collection in the form of central library where you can get all your subject related books in free of cost, ofcourse for lend. Overall the college is great.

Placement Placement is a very subjective topic I guess because not everybody wants a 9-5 coorporate life. Placement are very much nice in circuital branches like electrical engineering, computer science and engineering and not so good in non-circuital branches.

Infrastructure The infrastructure like the hostels are very good, you will get old hostels and new hostels. There are a total of 13+ hostels im the campus walking distance and its not a closed campus. The classrooms and college infrastructure are also quite good.

Faculty Faculty are good and they are higly educated and qualified like most pf them are from IIT and NITs, there teaching method varries some teach you in present day methods and aome in the traditional methods but they are a lot more supportive when it comes to studies.

Hostel Hostel living conditions are not great water shortage but its manageble but mainly the problem arises due to food, in old hostels the food is good but in new hostels the food is not so good.

Overall Review of Life at VSSUT, Burla Life at VSSUT, Burla is filled with academic rigor and social activities. An inspiring environment perfect for students is gifted to them in the lush green campus situated near the scenic Hirakud Dam.

Placement Review of Placements at VSSUT, Burla Placement opportunities at VSSUT, Burla are quite good especially for the core branches including Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil and IT related streams of Computer Science. The Training and Placement Cell constantly works to bring reputed recruiters to the campus with a smooth process of placement. Eligibility Criteria for placement : Students must maintain a minimum CGPA of 6.0 (varies by company) with no active backlogs. Further, soft skills and aptitude are often tested during recruitment drives. Recruiters and Package Campus visits are pretty frequent by Renowned recruiters include Tata Power, JSW Steel, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, and Cognizant. Of late, the highest package witnessed was around ₹21 LPA (in tech roles), average package ranges ₹4-6 LPA; this depends largely on the stream and company profile. Core Engineering companies usually post roles like a Design Engineer or Quality Analyst/Operations Specialist in IT companies software engineer and data analyst. Placement Statistics: Around 70-75% of students getting placements every year. A sizeable amount of students also join higher education, entrepreneurship, or government exams. My idea after completing the course would be to seek a core engineering job or go in for higher studies based on my interest.

Infrastructure Infrastructure and Campus The sprawling campus of 300 acres on the VSSUT, Burla, stands amidst lush greenery and has the iconic Hirakud Dam close by. The environment itself is very conducive to learning in such a tranquil setting. Besides well-equipped laboratories and hostels, the institution has a huge central library replete with various books and journals that help a student in pursuit of knowledge. Faculty

Faculty Faculty The faculty at VSSUT is highly experienced, with many holding advanced degrees and research credentials. Professors are approachable, supportive, and encourage critical thinking. They use a mix of traditional and modern teaching techniques to ensure students grasp both theoretical concepts and practical applications, making academics engaging and effective.

Hostel Review of Hostel Facilities at VSSUT, Burla Hostel life in VSSUT, Burla, brings out the essence of belonging and proximity to everyone. It provides campus accommodation in a well-separate manner, by separating males from females. Registration for this can be done directly at admission with a form allocated to him or her, which depends upon the availability in that hostel. The hostel fees amount to nearly ₹38,000 per year. The hostel mess provides meals thrice a day, offering a simple and balanced diet. The menu is mainly rice, dal, vegetables, and chapatis, but special dishes are prepared during festivals or special occasions. The quality of food is decent but can be improved in terms of variety and taste. The hostels offer the basic facilities of a cot, table, chair, and cupboard. However, in some hostels, maintenance is not up to the mark, and the outdated washroom facilities have been frequently complained against. The students who want to take rooms on rent or PG accommodation would opt for Burla town. The locality is affordable with rents that range from ₹2,500 to ₹5,000 per month depending upon the amenities. Overall, though the hostel infrastructure needs improvement, affordability and convenience make it a good choice for students looking to stay on campus.

Overall IT IS A STATE FUNDED TECHNICAL INSTITUTE. IT IS THE OLDEST ENGINEERING COLLEGE OF ODISHA.THE FACULTIES ARE HIGHLY QUALIFIED. THEY ARE PHD HOLDERS FROM VARIOUS REPUTED COLLEGES SUCH AS IIT NIT ETC.THE COLLEGE CAMPUS IS ABOUT 300 ACRES.THERE ARE VARIOUS CLUBS AND SOCIETIES PRESENT IN THIS COLLEGE.

Placement THE AVERAGE PLACEMENT OF VSSUT BURLA IS ABOUT 6 LAKHS PER ANNUM AS PER LATEST YEAR PLACEMENT .THE HIGHEST OFF CAMPUS PLACEMENT WAS 47 LPA BY AMAZON.THE HIGHEST ONCAMPUS PLACEMENT WAS ABOUT 15 LPA.AS IT IS THE OLDEST ENGINEERING COLLEGE OF ODISHA SO IT HAS A VAST ALUMNI NETWORK WHICH HELP STUDENT TO TAKE BOTH OFF CAMPUS AND ON CAMPUS PLACEMENT.

Infrastructure AS IT IS A STATE FUNDED TECHNICAL INSTITUTE SO THE INFRASTRUCTURE CAN'T BE COMPARED TO IITS NITS ETC.THE COLLEGE BUILDINGS ARE VERY OLD AND SOME ARE ABOUT TO FALL.RECENTLY THE GOVERNMENT OF ODISHA HAS SANCTIONED 2000 CR FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE COLLEGE.THERE ARE VARIOUS BUILDINGS SUCH AS ACADEMIC BUILDING, AUDITORIUM,CENTRAL WORKSHOP,E LEARNING CENTER,REGISTAR OFFICE ETC.

Faculty THE FACULTIES OF OUR COLLEGE IS ONE OF THE BEST TEACHERS I HAVE EVER SEEN.THEY ARE HIGHLY QUALIFIED. THEY ARE PHD HOLDERS FROM IITS NITS IIITS ETC.THEY HELP US AND GUIDE US IN EVERY DIFFICULT SITUATION. THERE ARE TEACHERS WHO ACT AS AN MENTOR TO A PARTICULAR GROUP OF STUDENTS .

Hostel THERE ARE ABOUT 12 HOSTELS AVAILABLE IN OUR COLLEGE.8 OF THEM ARE FOR BOYS AND REST ARE FOR GIRLS.THEY ARE KRATU PULAHA. PULASTYA ATRI ANGIRA BASISTHA MARICHI ARUNDHATI BASUNDHARA ETC.THE HOSTEL FEES PER ANNUM IS 48000 .THE MESS FOOD IS NOT SO DELICIOUS.IT INCLUDES BREAKFAST LUNCH SNACKS DINNER.

Overall Overall the college life is good and the most memorable moments of your life would be your four year that you have spent with your friends and the campus life is very good especially the central ground(CG) is the best place.

Placement As per our last year placement structure most of the students from all branches are placed at an average package of seven lakhs and the highest package goes upto twelve lakhs and the highest number of students were recruited in lansena and turbo that is land t.

Infrastructure The hostels are very big and developed but the reality hide inside of the hostel.The quality of the food and water are very poor and the hygiene are not maintained like other colleges. There is always rush of eating in mesh and also the water purifier is not cleaned.

Faculty The faculties are very skilled and experienced.All are helful and the relationship between faculties and students are very good.The faculty members help students whenever they has any doubt and very kind towards to help them.

Hostel We lived staright four year in this hostel and the problems we had faced are not less than a prisoner.The food quality is very good during our first year but gradually during of second and third year the food got more worse.The water facility is also very bad as we have to wait to drink water.

Overall Just go for it ..... If you have been thinking to joint this college then go for it...it's a best college in terms of money, placement and environment.

Infrastructure The infrastructure of vssut is designed to support a robust educational environment and includes academic building, workshops,central library -a vast library with a vast collection of books , computer centre, research centre,hostel for boys and girls ,sports facilities, big auditorium ,department and laboratories -well equipped laboratories for various engineering disciplines like civil, mechanical , production etc Green campus:efforts to maintain a green and sustainable campus with tree plantation and eco-friendly initiative.

Overall this is very good collage environment of this collage is really good,,, infrastructure was very outstanding with all kind of necessary facility ,,,,,,,,,

Overall Burla is an outskirt area.It becomes bit difficult for people who belongs to smart cities to cope up here as you don't have that much facilities but overally good.very old college so infrastructure is like that but it is a big news that government has sanctioned 2000crores to burla and the new building are going under construction after 6months VSSUT bula will be like a Private college. It is becoming better and better day by day.

Infrastructure Earlier it was just like a typical normal government college but after 6months you can get a feeling like private college. All class will be smart board classes.It will have 5 floors.

Faculty Faculty are guite good well experienced. Many of them are helping in nature. They will never hesitate to clear your doubts but you need to be attentive in the class.They are friendly but strict when they starts teaching.

Hostel See hostels are really good for girls like you will be providing 4times yummy delicious meal but your in time will be 6:30pm for boys they get3 time meal ,evening snacks is not provided and instead of roti you will get rice at dinner but you don't have strict in time.The there will always be hostel fest in both hostels where you can dance enjoy and have loads of delicious food

Overall I personally find this college very clean and happening. They aims to nurture well rounded individuals who are able to make a powerful contribution in society. They also give industry exposures and resources for students. Internship was given but it need to be improved more.

Overall The best engineering college in odisha after NITs and IITs. VSSUT have very good curriculums for academic. Most of the students get placement. Students faculty ratio is best. Hostel life was great. The fees of the institution is affordable. The organisation structure is not good.

Placement Being an university companies likes to come to this college for recruitment. The number of students gets placement is good but the average package is below 3LPA. New companies are only comes to this college.

Infrastructure College infrastructure is very good. Enough classroom are there. Classrooms are equipped with smartboard and projector. Laboratory conditions are very horrible. Library have enough books.

Faculty Faculty members are highly qualified. They helps students and motivates in every situations. Teaching quality was good and informative. Student to faculty ratio is aslo best in odisha.

Hostel There are 12 hostels. Out of which 7 for boys and 5 are for girls. Hostel rooms are good. But old hostels are below average. Mess food was worst. Not such facilities for sports in hostel premises. But the hostel experience was awesome.

Overall In Odisha if u Are securing a decent rank in jee. Then U will get a chance to get a good branch like it or cs. Otherwise Other core branch placements are decent

Placement Here Placement are very good as compared to Other Government colleges of Odisha.In core branch also the Placement are very good.U just have to earn two internship to get a decent placement.

Infrastructure Infrastructure is evolving. As it in going to add some new branch Linke Ai ml and cybersecuirty. Over all Infrastructure is good.location and Communication gap is still there

Faculty Faculty are good.some time u face problem regarding ur syllabus .the syllabus is not the updated one.Faculties are good and experienced with a decent knowledge about the course.
