Placement: Top recruiting companies like Wipro, Microsoft, AppDynamics, DE Shaw, Udaan, Cloudera, and Amazon visit our college for placements. Top roles offered were software engineering, backend development, frontend development, site reliability engineering, android developer, and IT consultant. VIT provides the excellent placement opportunities for CSE department college students. Many students are studying in our college and our college gives the best placements to the students. Internships are available to students at the beginning of their third year at companies such as Amazon, Infosys, Mahindra, Google, Bosch, and TCS.
Faculty: We have really good faculty members and all are PhD holders in various branches. The course curriculum is great, and the FFCS (fully flexible credit system) system allows students to choose their course, teachers, and slots according to their convenience. It is the best thing, and the difficulty of semester exams is moderate to tough. The teachers in our college are very experienced and helpful, But there are too many exams in a year of subjects that are not of much importance. Teachers in our college are very helpful, qualified and have enough knowledge to teach students.
Hostel: Is gender bias prevalent in VIT, yes it is. The curfew times and rules are stringent for girls than boys. Have you ever wondered why big companies spend millions on PR? Because good PR signifies credibility and trust. VIT is an engineering college that hopes to churn out qualified engineers. So it's PR strategy should be focused on convincing recruiters and students VIT does exactly that. Hence VIT can't afford to be known as the "cool and chill college", it wants and needs to be known as a "professional and excellent academic institution". If you want your child to become a good engineer, would you prefer them studying in a college known as the latter or the former? Now you clearly know the answer. VIT manages an institution with around 30,000 students aging 17-25, some mishaps do happen, these mishaps bring in bad impression to students, parents and even recruiters. And about PDA, you can perfecfly be in a relationship without having to show PDA. PDA is unprofessional in an academic institution. Imagine you are a recruiter visiting a college to judge the quality of students, you walk inside the campus and see a couple being intimate. Sets a bad impression, right? Hence the "Red Tag Annas" to institute discipline and the curfew to reduce mishaps. About the infamous gender bias, VIT has discrimantive curfews but that's where it ends, no other discrimination based on gender. South India is definitely not progressive enough to give enough freedom to girls as they do to boys. Though it should, it still isn't. When in Rome be a Roman. Should VIT break barriers? Yes and I hope it will soon.

The VIT Vellore BTech+MTech integrated program is a 5-year course where students complete both their BTech and MTech degrees together. Instead of spending 6 years separately, students finish in 5 years with strong technical knowledge. The programs are offered in CSE, Data Science, Software Engineering, AI, Cyber Security, Computational & Data Science, and AI & Bioinformatics. This program is ideal for students who want advanced skills and better placement chances, as integrated students get strong industry exposure, training, and higher-level project opportunities.
To be eligible, students must be Indian residents who studied in regular full-time 10+2 schooling. They should be born on or after 1 July 2005. General category students need at least 70% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, while SC/ST students require 60%. This makes the program accessible to students with strong science backgrounds who want an advanced combined degree.
No, VIT Vellore does not conduct any entrance exam for the integrated BTech+MTech programs. Admission is completely merit-based and depends only on a student’s 10+2 PCM percentage. This means students do not need to clear VITEEE or any national-level exam for these courses. Merit lists are prepared based on PCM scores, and higher scorers get better chances during counseling. This process helps students who perform well academically in school and want a stress-free admission procedure without competitive exams.
