  • Participants of the workshop gained insights on different machines and their operations.
AIT Bangalore Organises Industrial Visit for Mechanical Engg Department Students

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Acharya Institute of Technology organised an industrial visit to ‘Ace Designers’, India’s largest manufacturers of CNC Lathe Machines in November 2017. The industrial visit was organised for the students of 3 rd and 5th-semester of Mechanical Engineering Department.

Ace Designers is spread over 50,000 square meters, and its manufacturing unit is located in Bangalore. It is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to deliver high-quality products.

During the industrial visit to Ace Designers, the students were able to gain the knowledge on different machines such as: -

  • Multiple Spindle CNC
  • Sheet Metal Cutting M/C
  • Turn Mill Centre
  • MIG
  • TIG
  • Auto Robotic Welding M/C
  • Grinding M/C
  • CNC

Similarly, the students learnt about various machining operations such as: -

  • Grinding
  • Grooving
  • Taper Turning
  • Turning
  • Drilling
  • Slotting
  • Welding

Students were able to gain knowledge on assembling of machines and their testing of different parameters. Students also made a visit to inventory management facility and warehouse.

Acharya Institute, Bangalore has been constantly engaged in promoting practical knowledge and exposure to students. In November 2017, Department of Journalism and Media Studies organised media trip to All India Radio to provide practical exposure to students on the functioning of AIR.
