SC Verdict on GATE 2022 Out

A bench comprising the CJI (Chief Justice of India) N V Ramana has read out the decision against the petition filed by Advocate Pallav Mongia on behalf of the students. The Supreme Court of India has announced a verdict in favour of IIT Kharagpur which means the GATE 2022 exam will be conducted as per the latest schedule, i.e on 5, 6, 12 and 13 February. Finally, after more than a month, clarity regarding whether or not this year's GATE exam will be conducted is available to the candidates and exam authorities.

Students were demanding the postponement of this year’s GATE exam due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases across the country. The petition seeking postponement of the GATE 2022 exam was filed on 02nd February and the SC agreed to hear the matter on an urgent basis.
