GATE COAP Round 1 Dates 2022
Important dates for COAP round 1 are as follows-

GATE COAP Round 1 Seat Acceptance Process 2022
Students can see their seat allotment results at the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) by visiting the institute to which they applied. The following option will be available for candidates to choose from.

| Option 2 | Retain and wait |
| Option 3 | Reject and Wait |
Candidates will be able to choose from any of the three options. However, they will not be able to choose Retain and Wait for more than two times on a specific offer. Those who have not been allotted any seat must wait for subsequent rounds for the allotment.

COAP Accept and Freeze
If a candidate is confident about the present offer then they should opt for this option. Moreover, if they're sure that they do not want to upgrade to higher preferences, then they can choose this option. Once a candidate chooses this option, they will not be considered in the subsequent rounds of the seat allotment process.
COAP Retain and Wait
If a candidate is accepting the present offer but would also like to wait for a higher preference, then they should select this option. They will not be considered for other rejected offers for the specific round. However, they'll be considered for other higher preferences.
COAP Reject and Wait
If a candidate is not willing to accept any one of the offers, then they can opt for this option. They will also be considered for other higher preferences.
