IIT Ropar nominated an expert team visited London (UK), Toronto, Chicago (USA), (Canada), and Chicago (USA) in May-June, 2016 for faculty recruitment for IIT Ropar. The eligible candidates took the opportunity to appear for the positions in specific areas of specialization in the Departments of -

The selected candidates were offered Visiting Assistant Professor position on the contractual basis. It may be regularized later on after satisfactory performance and assessment by a duly constituted faculty selection board.

Educational Qualification:
Ph. D. with first class or equivalent (in terms of grades etc.) at the preceding degree in the
appropriate branch with excellent academic record throughout.
The applicants with the provisional certificate for a Ph.D. degree on the date of the interview are also eligible to apply.
The age of the candidate should not be more than 35 years as on the date of interview and may be relaxed by 3 years for exceptionally good candidates.
Additional Requirements:
1. Computer Science and Engg.: The candidate must have one of the pre-PhD degrees in the areas of Information Technology /Computer Science//Electrical & Computer Science, and at least 2 papers in peer reviewed international journals/conferences of repute.
2. Electrical Engg.: The candidate must have one of the pre-PhD degrees in the areas of Electrical/ Instrumentation/ Electronics & Communications Electrical & Computer Science, and at least 2 papers in peer reviewed international journals of repute.
3. Mechanical Engg.: The candidate must have one of the pre-PhD degrees in the areas of Mechanical / Aerospace /Production Engineering Automobile Engineering, and at least 2 papers in peer reviewed international journals of repute.

Know about IIT Ropar
Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, is an Institute of national importance. It is one of eight IITs set up by Ministry of Human Resource Development Government of India in 2008.
