Important Instructions to Candidates Participating in KCET Round 2 Counselling 2022

KCET Round 2 Counselling 2022: The candidates who had opted for post-allotment Choice 2 or Choice 3 are eligible to submit the option form KCET counselling round 2 and participate in the seat allotment process. The Karnataka Examinations Authority referred to as KEA, has declared the schedule for the second round of counselling. According to the official schedule, KCET round 2 option form 2022 will be released on November 17 after 4 PM. Alongside it, the authority will also publish the leftover seat vacancies which will help candidates to shortlist their options for better chances of allotment.

Candidates who are participating in KCET counselling round 2 are advised to go through the following instructions before filling out the option form:

• KEA will be releasing the seat vacancy matrix but in it, the seat of the candidate who has opted for Choice 2 (accepted the seat but want betterment) will be shown as an occupied seat instead of a vacant seat.
• Thus, when the upward movement will happen in Round 2, it is likely that such seats will create consequential vacancies. Therefore, it is advised to exercise even those options, if required and preferred, wherein the seats are shown as full.
• When KEA released the round 1 seat allotment, it also published the cutoff or closing ranks for the same. Candidates are highly recommended to refer to those cutoffs to find out the colleges available at their merit range.
• While candidates are free to exercise options out of their merit range, they should add at least 10 college-branch preferences in their merit range to avoid non-allotment or non-betterment.
• Also, after KCET round 2 seat allotment, candidates will once again be provided with Choice 1 to 4 options, depending on which they will be able to participate in the final casual vacancy round. After this round, no post-allotment choice option will be given and it will be compulsory to join the allotted college.
• Fill out KCET round 2 counselling option form using a laptop or a desktop device only which has updated versions of internet browsers.
• These consequential reserved category vacancies that arise during KCET seat allotment round 2 will remain under the same categories and will be offered only to the candidates belonging to the same reserved categories.
