JEE Main January 2023 Registration to Close on January 12; Check eligibility criteria and application fee for Paper 2

JEE MAIN 2023: For January Session 1, the application forms for JEE Main 2023 are closing on January 12, 2023, at 9 PM, for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. It is likely that JEE Main Paper 2 will be conducted in two shifts on the last day of the session, January 31, 2023, though the same has not yet been confirmed by the NTA. Candidates who wish to apply for JEE Main January 2023 session must first confirm their eligibility with the revised criteria before applying. If the criteria is not matched during verification, the admission of the candidate will stand cancelled.

JEE Main January 2023 Eligibility Criteria for Paper 2

The following is the briefed JEE Main 2023 eligibility for B.Arch and B.Planning Paper 2 examination:

• There is no upper age limit for appearing for JEE Main 2023 Paper 2 but the institutes may have age limits. It is advised to first confirm the same before making the application, if of an irregular age group.

• The list of exams considered equivalent to Class 12 can be checked by clicking here: List of Qualifying Examinations .

• Candidates who have qualified Class 12 or equivalent exams in 2021 or 2022 or are appearing in 2023 examination are eligible.

• Those who have qualified before that (2020 and before) are not eligible. Similarly, those who are appearing in 2024 are not eligible as well.

​​​​​JEE Main January 2023 Application Fee for Paper 2

The application fee is to be paid at last after filling out the entire application form. This fee is to be paid online using Net Banking, UPI, or credit/debit card (except Master/Visa card). Unlike the application form, the deadline of fee payment is January 12, until 11:50 PM (instead of 9 PM).

Note: The fee will be doubled if a candidate wishes to apply for two papers. This fee is applicable per paper and processing and GST charges will be separately applicable, depending on the mode of payment used.
