Certain modifications, clarifications and rectifications with respect to provisions contained in the Prospectus 2016 and other publications related to the admission and other matters of the university have been made, which may or may not be covered in any information material or publication issued by the University; and therefore are listed below for the information of all the concerned:
1) Specialisations in B.Sc. (Information Technology) and B.Sc. (Information Technology) [Lateral Entry] will not be offered.
2) In Part-B of Prospectus 2016, the eligibility criteria for Integrated B.Ed. -M.Ed. the programme contains certain inadvertent errors. For correct details, refer the University website (under the head Admissions i.e. http://www.lpu.in/admissions/)
3) MBA (Sports & Fitness Management), B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture, B.Tech. (ME - Agriculture Engineering), Integrated B.Tech. (ME - Agriculture Engineering) - MBA, BBA (Agri. Business Management), Diploma (Engg.) Automobile Engg., Dual Programme Diploma (Engg) - B.Tech. (Automobile Engineering), Diploma in Multimedia, Diploma in Media Studies, Diploma in Film Making, BBA (E-Commerce and Digital Marketing), B.Com. (E-Commerce and Digital Marketing), B.Com. (Management Accounting and International Finance), B.Sc. (Design -Gaming(, M.Tech. (VLSI Design) [Full Time], M.Tech. (Information Security) [Full Time], M.Tech. (Design) [Full Time], M.Tech. (Thermal Engineering) [Full Time], M.Tech. (Manufacturing Engineering) [Full Time], M.Tech. (Transportation Engineering) [Full Time], M.Tech. (Power Systems) [Full Time], M.Tech. (Structural Engineering) [Full Time and Part Time], M.A. (Performing Arts - Dance), M.A. (Clinical Psychology), M.A. (Counselling), M.A. (Public Policy), Diploma in Yoga, PG Diploma in ERP, D.Litt. and D.Sc. programmes are being offered. 4) Eligibility criteria for certain programmes should be read as mentioned below:
• MBA (Agri-Business Management): Pass with 50% aggregate marks in B.Sc. (Agriculture or Horticulture or Forestry or Home Science or Food Technology or Nutrition & Dietetics) or B.Sc. (Botany, Zoology & Chemistry) or B.Tech. (Agri. Engg.) or B.V.Sc. or equivalent subject to qualifying LPUNEST-2016 or CAT/MAT/XAT and Interview. In case marks scored in graduation are 60% or above, then the candidate will be exempted from LPUNEST-2016 or CAT/MAT/XAT and the candidate may apply for admission, subject to qualifying Interview.
• M.A. (Psychology): Pass in Graduation (with Psychology) or equivalent.
• M.Sc. (Food Technology): Pass with 50% aggregate marks in Bachelor degree (Medical Science & Allied Medical or Applied Medical Science or Agriculture or Nanotechnology or Biosciences or Life Sciences or Food Sciences or Nutrition & Dietetics or Home Science) or equivalent.
• M.Sc. (Nutrition & Dietetics): Pass with 50% aggregate marks in Bachelor degree (Home Science or Medical or Non-Medical or Biosciences or Medical Science & Allied Medical or Nutrition & Dietetics or Food Technology) or equivalent.
• M.Sc. (Forensic Sciences): Pass with 50% aggregate marks in B.Sc. (Biology or Physics or Chemistry or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Biotechnology) or B.Pharm. or MBBS or BDS or equivalent.
• B.Sc. (Physician Assistant): Pass with 50% aggregate marks in Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (3.5 yrs after 10th) or B.Sc. (Nursing) (4.5 yrs) or equivalent.
• Diploma (Engg.) [Lateral Entry]: Pass with 50% aggregate marks in ITI (in Technical field) 1 yr./ 2 yrs. Certificate course or 2 yrs. Diploma from SLIET or 10+2 Vocational (in Technical field) or 10+2 (Non-Medical) or equivalent from any recognised Board/ Council.
• Diploma in Yoga: Pass in 10+2 or equivalent.
5) M.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering) [Full Time] programme is presently not being offered.
6) There is no age condition for taking admission in B.Pharm. Programme.
7) In B.A. (Performing Arts) and Bachelor of Performing Arts (BPA) programmes, specialisation in Music (Vocal) or Dance or Table or Theatre may be offered, subject to a minimum number of students and feasibility as decided by the university.
8) Nomenclature of the programme mentioned as 'B.Tech. (BT-Food Process Engineering)' should be read as 'B.Tech. (BT- Food Technology); 'Integrated B.Tech. (BT - Food Process Engineering)-MBA' as 'Integrated B.Tech. (BT - Food Technology)-MBA, 'MPT (Sports Medicine)' as 'MPT (Musculoskeletal and Sports); 'MPT (Manual Therapy)' as 'MPT (Musculoskeletal and Manual Therapy); `B.Tech. (ME - Aerospace Engineering)' as 'B.Tech. (Aerospace Engineering), 'Integrated B.Tech. (ME - Aerospace Engineering) - MBA' as 'Integrated B.Tech. (Aerospace Engineering) - MBA' and 'PG Diploma in Yoga' as 'Diploma in Yoga.
9) The last date of submission of Pre-Application Supplement for M.Phil. and PhD programmes was extended to 9th June 2016.
10) The Corrigendum dated 22nd May 2016 contained inadvertent errors with regards to the eligibility and the correct details are as follows:-B.Tech. (Chemical Engineering), B.Tech. (CHE - Petroleum), Integrated B.Tech. (Chemical Engineering) - MBA and Integrated B.Tech. (CHE -Petroleum] - MBA: Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Maths) subject to qualifying LPUNEST-2016 or JEE (Main). In case marks scored in 10+2 are 90% or above, then the candidate will be exempted from LPUNEST-2016 or JEE (Main) and the candidate may apply directly for admission.
11) Students, who have scored 10 CGPA in 10th and 10+2 (12th) class CBSE board, will be considered for scholarship equivalent to that of 98% and above bracket.
12) In Part-C of Prospectus 2016, under Guidelines & Process for 1PUNEST-2016 and Interview' [For M.Phil. and PhD Programmes], Selection Criteria should be read as under: 'An applicant will be shortlisted for Interview on the basis of his/ her score in LPUNEST-2016 (M.Phil.)/ LPUNEST-2016 (PhD). The final selection for admission in M.Phil. and PhD will be based on the candidate's performance in the Interview, subject to scoring minimum marks:
