London South Bank University, commonly known as LSBU, is a public university that was founded as Borough Polytechnic Institute in 1892. LSBU achieved its university status in 1992. The campus of LSBU is situated in Southwark, London and the university is affiliated to the European University Association (EUA). The QS World University Ranking of London South Bank University is #751- 800. It has also received the highest possible rating for quality education from the independent Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA).
Infrastructure, Campus & Courses
LSBU has seven academic schools: the School of Applied Sciences, School of The Built Environment and Architecture, the School of Arts and Creative Industries, the School of Business, the School of Health and Social Care, the School of Business and the School of Law and Social Sciences. The innovative and industry-standard facilities give courses offered by LSBU the feel of the working world. The university has highly specialised labs including Forensic laboratories, Psychology labs, Pub lab, Chemical/workshop lab, interviewing rooms, an eye tracker/ Physiology suite, SAIL (Spatial Analysis and Informatics Lab), DARLab (Digital Architecture Robotics Lab), Acoustics Lab, Therapeutic Radiography VERT Lab, Thermodynamic and Strength of Materials Lab, Virtual Engineering Lab and Engine and Petrol Lab.

From 17 May 2021, the UK Government allowed students to return on campus and get involved in on-campus in-person teaching, following the Covid- 19 safety measures
The exams and assessment are going on for most students at London South Bank and the upcoming on-campus teaching schedule and activities will be soon informed to students. The university will restart the on-campus courses for students from September 2021 and will continue to follow all measures as set out by the UK Government.
The services offered by the LSBU to students as additional support include personal tutors support, dedicated support services online for wellbeing, sport and recreation, dyslexia and disability support and employability associated support.
Students have access to the library, learning resources, online study material and over 230,000 books online.
It is offered to candidates who hold an unconditional offer for a place in a full-time bachelor’s or master’s degree programme at London South Bank University. The candidate must be classified as international students for fee-paying purposes and duration of the course must not be less than one year to be eligible to receive the scholarships.
Award Value: A fee reduction of up to £4,000
There is no need to fill in a separate application for scholarship. The admission application is considered to shortlist students to offer the scholarship.
The scholarship is available for international students pursuing a full-time degree programme from London South Bank University. Candidates must hold a valid offer for a place at the university and must not be the recipient of any other sponsorship to receive the international scholarship from the London South Bank.
The level of study can be Undergraduate, Postgraduate or PhD. To receive the scholarship for undergraduate course, the tuition fee must be at least £7,500.
There are hundreds of discounts and awards offered to an international student under this category based on the previous qualification and achievements of the applicant.
Award Value: £1,580
A separate application for scholarship is not required. Scholarships will be awarded automatically based on the application for admission.
