Auburn University was founded in 1856 as the East Alabama Male College. It was renamed as Auburn University 1960. The university is situated in Auburn, Alabama province of the United States. Auburn university campus spreads in 1,841 acres and hosts 206 academic buildings. Auburn University has its academic affiliations registered under APLU ORAU SURA ACES. The university is also ranked among the Kiplingers “100 Best Values in Public Colleges” and has been reviewed as the best value college by the Princeton Review 2020 for its quality education. Not only this, but Auburn University has also got the R1 designation by The Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education, enlisting it among one of the research-active doctoral universities in the U.S.

Students have been asked to be on campus this fall. The classes will be delivered with a modified academic calendar from August 17 to November 24, 2020.
Students will be required to wear face coverings, and the maximum capacities for classrooms will be reduced to 50% of normal capacity.
Final exams will be administered remotely.
Various new class formats will be in place. These include face-to-face, blended, online or HyFlex.
University Housing is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment amid the pandemic. However, there may be certain changes for fall such as physical distancing, isolation/quarantine if required, and more.
Auburn is working towards providing adequate opportunities for student retention and academic progress.
The university will also provide the required resources to the students.

Merit Scholarships, renewable after four years, are awarded only to freshmen enrolling in summer or fall immediately after high school graduation. Students will be considered for merit scholarships at Auburn based on an overall review of the admission application by Undergraduate Admissions along with the information provided on the scholarship application through the AUSOM. Only the highest composite ACT score or total SAT score from a single test date will be used to grant merit scholarships.
At Auburn, Departmental Scholarships are awarded by its 12 colleges and schools. Criteria shall vary from programme to programme and may not be limited to academic major, academic achievement, geographic location or financial need. Departmental Scholarships may be granted beginning in January to incoming freshmen.
