ACET 2024 Counselling

ACET counselling 2024 will commence a few days after the publication of the ACET 2024 exam results on the official website. The ACET exam for May was held today, May 4, 2024. The result for the May session will be issued on July 1, 2024.

The official dates for ACET 2024 counselling for the May 2024 term are expected to be announced after the results. Candidates who achieve the minimum qualifying percentage will be admitted to ACET.

Candidates who want to work in finance and become actuaries can take the ACET exam. The Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) administers this exam twice a year. Continue reading to learn more about the ACET 2024 counselling process.

ACET 2024 Direct Entry Eligibility (For Non-ACET Candidates)

The below categories are enrolled to the student membership on filling out the application and uploading of documents -  

  • Fully qualified members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Institute of Cost Accountants of India and Institute of Company Secretaries of India
  • MBA in Finance (Minimum 60% or equivalent grade)
  • IIM Graduate
  • BSc / MSc in Actuarial Science from Institute / Colleges
  • B.E from Institute (Minimum 60% or equivalent grade)
  • IIT Graduates
  • Fellow Member of Insurance Institute of India
  • Qualified 1st year B.Sc, M.Sc Actuarial science from Amity University
  • Graduation and Post-graduation diploma in Actuarial Science (PGDAS)
  • Graduation and Post-graduation diploma in Actuarial Statistics
  • Bcom in Actuarial Management Affiliated to Bharathiar University
  • Bachelor of Statistics (Honours) from Indian Statistical Institute
  • Bachelor of Mathematics (Honours) from Indian Statistical Institute
  • Master of Statistics from Indian Statistical Institute
  • Master of Mathematics from Indian Statistical Institute
  • Master of Science in Quantitative Economics from Indian Statistical Institute
  • Master of Science in Quality Management Science from Indian Statistical Institute.

Cleared two papers from any of the mentioned here actuarial bodies - 

  • Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA),UK
  • Society of Actuaries (SOA), US
  • Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS),US
  • The Actuarial Society of South Africa (ASSA)
  • Institute of Actuaries of Australia (IAAust)

How to Apply for ACET 2024 Student Membership for Non-ACET Students?

Applicant members will be acknowledged if they produce true copies of their education certificates, which will be verified/ checked by an independent verification body within the timeframes specified. Students will be given a membership ID once their membership is accepted. Students can refer to study materials for their chosen subjects using this ID. 

After that, students can select their subject areas and exam session (March or June). Once enrolled, students must renew their membership annually.

Applicants must make an application once the ACET 2024 counselling dates are announced on the official website. The following are the steps that candidates must take to apply for student membership.

  • Visit the IAI's official website.
  • Under the 'Student' tab, select the 'Student Membership' link.
  • A new window will open, and candidates must enter their ACET candidate ID and date of birth in the format prescribed.
  • Applicants will receive an OTP on their mobile phone number or email address after clicking the 'Get OTP' button.
  • Candidates must enter their OTP and then click on the Get Registration Form button.
  • Candidates must fill out the form and upload the necessary attested documents in image format. The total size must be 1 MB, and the image resolution should be 1024*768.
  • Aspirants must submit attested duplicates and originals and guarantee that the records posted online are self-attested, correct, and credible.
  • Once the procedure has been completed, the aspirants must pay the fees online.
  • They must then print a copy of the payment page.
  • Once their admission is approved, the candidates will be sent an email to their registered email address.
  • If the payment does not go through, applicants must click 'Try Again' and re-enter their payment information.
  • Within the next seven working days, applicants will be notified by email, informing them of the standing of their submitted softcopy papers.

Documents to be Uploaded

Applicants for ACET 2024 admissions must upload soft copies of the required documents. The documents that candidates must upload are provided below, and all copies must be attested.

  • Passport/ Pan Card/ Birth Certificate/ School/ College Leaving Certificate.
  • Passport/ Pan Card/ Aadhar Card/ School/ College ID Proof.
  • 10th standard/ SSC mark sheet, and 12th/ HSC mark sheet.
  • Name Change Document if applicable.
  • Marriage Certificate if applicable.

ACET 2024 Counselling Fees

Candidates applying for admission have to pay the specified total admission fee inclusive of annual membership fees. The fees will be relevant for the same fiscal year. As per the stipulated dates, students must renew their membership. Furthermore, the candidates will be expected to pay the membership fee for the following fiscal year.

The admission charges are non-refundable.

Documents Uploading Process Error

Applicants who have posted their certificates in the admission form will be sent an email informing them of the status of their documents. If the papers are not uploaded in the correct order, the applicants will get an email stating the reason within less than seven working days of attaching the documents.

Candidates will need to re-upload the appropriate documents. If, after their rejection, the authority does not receive the correct documents uploaded in soft copy, then the candidates must re-apply for admission within 30 days of receiving notification via email.

ACET 2024 Annual Membership

Members must renew their membership as per the schedule to keep their active status. Individuals who do not renew their annual membership by the due date will be excluded from the list of members who may be again added by the relevant authority after receiving an application. Payment of required fees must be made by navigating to the "Annual membership" module on the login page.

The following are the current rates for all members under the age of 60:

Rs 9,000 (Approximate)+ 18% GST

Associates

Rs 3,000 (Approximate) + 18% GST

Students

Rs 2,000 (Approximate)

For Affiliates and Associates who are more than 60 years of age, Rs 2,000 plus 18% GST will be applicable in the following conditions -

  • They are not gainfully employed in any profession or practice
  • They are medically not fit to be gainfully employed in some profession or practice
