IISER Mohali Ph.D. Admission 2022 Open: Dates, Eligibility, Application Process

IISER Mohali Ph.D. admissions 2022 has started from March 24, 2022. The institute has invited the applications for admissions to the Ph.D. programmes in Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Social Sciences for the August 2022 session. Candidates willing to have career in research can apply for the admissions.

Candidates are required to appear for a national level exam to be eligible for admission to IISER Mohali Ph.D. program. A screening test and interview is conducted to select the students for admissions. IISER Mohali offers PMRF Fellowship to Ph.D. candidates with merit in the exam. Ph.D. admission program for IISER Mohali is conducted twice a year – March and September.

IISER Mohali Ph.D. Admission 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The institute has set certain criteria for candidates to appear for the Ph.D. admissions. The eligibility criteria is as follows:

Candidate must have a Master’s degree/MBBS/ B.Tech/M.Tech with atleast high second class marks
Candidate must have qualified UGC-JRF/ CSIR or GATE/CSIR or UGC NET(LS)/ DBT-JRF/ ICMR-JRF/ DBT-BINC/ DST- INSPIRE/ NBHM in the relevant subject or national-level fellowship by state or private agency.

Department-Wise Eligibility Criteria for IISER Mohali Ph.D. Admissions 2022

Department	Eligibility Criteria
Biological Sciences	Candidate must have a Master’s/ B.Tech/MBBS/ M.Tech/ /M. Pharm degree with 60% and above marks Candidate must have qualified CSIR or UGC-JRF / ICMR-JRF/ DBT-BINC/ DBT-JRF/ DST- INSPIRE /GATE/ICAR-NET/CSIR or UGC NET-LS in the relevant subject
Physical Sciences	Candidate must have a Master’s degree/ B.Tech / M.Tech with atleast high second class marks Candidate must have qualified CSIR or UGC-JRF / ICMR-JRF/ DST- INSPIRE in the relevant subject
Mathematical Sciences	Candidate must have a Master’s degree or B. Tech degree with atleast high second class marks Candidates must appear for NBHM Doctoral Scholarship test
Chemical Sciences	Candidate must have a Master’s degree in Chemical Sciences, Biochemical sciences, Physical or M.Pharm/ M. Tech in nanotechnology/ biotechnology or any other relevant subject with atleast high second class marks Candidate must have qualified CSIR or UGC- JRF / ICMR-JRF/ DBT-JRF/ DBT-BINC/ DST INSPIRE in the relevant subject
Earth and Environmental Sciences	Candidate must have a Masters/ M. Tech degree in Atmospheric Sciences / Geology/ Earth and Environmental Sciences/Geophysics/Chemistry/ Physics/ Meteorology/Hydrology/ Climate Sciences/ Mathematics / Remote Sensing / Computer Sciences / Artificial Intelligence /Data Sciences Candidate must have UGC-LS & JRF / DST-Inspire or GATE/ CSIR fellowship
Humanities and Social Sciences	Candidate must have an M.Sc./ M.A./M.Phil degree (with a minimum 55% for General and OBC category, minimum 50% for SC/ST/PD The degree must be in Sociology/ Anthropology / Modern Indian History / Urban History / Political Economy / Urban Studies / English Literature in the areas of Development Studies / South Asian studies/ Trauma Studies, Scatology Studies, and Science-in- theatre/fiction / Economics / Labour Studies / Public Policy Studies / Feminist Geography / Labour Geography and Critical Infrastructure Studies Candidates must send a statement of proposed research (minimum 1500 words) to the provided email

IISER Mohali Ph.D. Admission 2022 Application Process

The Ph.D. application form for IISER Mohali must be filled online at the official website by visiting Online Application Facility link at https://www.iisermohali.ac.in. Check the procedure below

Step 1 : Enter valid email address and register

Step 2 : Login with credentials sent on email

Step 3 : Fill all the necessary information and click Save

Step 4 : Preview all the details and click Submit

Step 5 : Download the application form by clicking on Download Report PDF

Step 6: Take a print of the form, sign, affix photo, and keep ready for Interview

Step 7: Candidates are advised to confirm the status of the application form as incomplete application form will be rejected
