CBSE Class 12 Economics Weightage 2026 : The CBSE Class 12 Economics exam will be conducted for 100 marks, with 80 marks allocated to theory and 20 marks to project work. The theory paper is divided into two parts: Part A - Introductory Economics and Part B - Indian Economic Development, each worth 40 marks. CBSE Class 12 Economics Question Paper Blueprint 2026

The CBSE Class 12 Economics question paper 2026 will be divided into five sections: A and B, with a total of 34 questions. The overall format of the question paper is given below:

  • MCQs will consist of 20 one-mark questions based on concepts and terminology. Students will be required to choose the correct answer out of four given options.
  • Two sections will be for short-answer type questions of 3 and 4 marks each. The word limit for the answers will be 60-80. These sections will be designed to assess students' ability to present concise explanations or describe events within the word count.
  • Long-answer type Questions will have a weightage of 6 marks each. These answers should be written in 300-350 words. The questions will test analytical skills and knowledge of conceptual insights.
