Goa MBBS admission 2019 final merit list has been released on July 3, 2019. Candidates can take a look at the merit list online by visiting the official website and can save the pdf. 

Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa is responsible for conducting Goa MBBS Admissions 2019. The final merit list for Goa MBBS admission has been released on July 3, 2019. The provisional merit list had been released on July 2, 2019. The first round of Goa counselling 2019 has begun. Unlike other states, Goa commenced the online registration for the MBBS course in advance. NEET-UG 2019 qualifiers from Goa who have submitted the application form are eligible for the admission to MBBS course in Goa. DTE Goa has the authority to conduct MBBS admission process for 85% seats available under state quota. Goa NEET-UG 2019 qualifiers can also take part in 15% All-India Quota admissions. Candidates appearing for the NEET-UG 2019 counselling must be aware of the detailed counselling procedure and admission process. All such details are elaborated below.

Goa MBBS Admissions Merit List 2019:

Goa MBBS Provisional merit list has been released on July 2, 2019, and the final merit list has been released on July 3, 2019. The merit list has the name of the candidate, NEET marks, the date for the counselling etc. Only those candidates are eligible for the counselling process.

Goa MBBS Admissions 2019:

DTE Goa has already concluded the application process for the MBBS course. Candidates who have submitted the application form must get ready with all the required documents for NEET-UG counselling. Goa is one of the states in India that conducts offline counselling and admission process for MBBS course. There is only one medical college in Goa, i.e., Goa Medical College, which offers 150 seats in MBBS course.

Goa MBBS Admissions Eligibility Criteria 2019:

Domicile Rules: Aspiring MBBS candidates must note that they should have passed Class 10 and Class 12 from any of the schools located in the state of Goa. The candidates must have lived in Goa for at least 10 years. Apart from the Goa board, candidates who have passed Class 10 and Class 12 from CBSE board in Goa schools are also eligible for the admission.

Educational Requirements: Only NEET-UG 2019 qualified candidates with a minimum of 50th percentile or minimum NEET-UG qualifying marks prescribed by CBSE category wise. Apart from the NEET-UG score, the candidates must have 50% of marks in Class 12 with English, Physics, Biology and Chemistry as the mandatory subjects. For reserved categories, the minimum qualifying mark is 45% in Class 12. Candidates who satisfy the above-mentioned criterion can apply for the admission to MBBS course in Goa.

MBBS Age Criteria: For getting admission into the MBBS course, candidates must have at least 17 years of age as on December 31, 2019. On the other hand, candidates with less than 25 years as on May 06, 2019, are also eligible for the admission.

Goa MBBS Application Process 2019:

Step I: DTE Goa does not accept applications for MBBS course online. All the candidates must visit the official website of DTE Goa to download the MBBS application form, known as Form – B. Download and take the printout of the application form.

Step II: Fill all details carefully with legible handwriting. DTE Goa will reject application forms with wrong information and the applications with incomplete information.

Step III: Enclose the documents that are mentioned in the application form. Some documents can be presented at the time of counselling.

Step IV: Draw a Demand Draft of Rs. 1,800 in favour of DTE Goa and submit it along with application form.

Step V: Candidates must submit the application personally at Directorate of Technical Education, Porvorim – Goa. DTE will issue an acknowledgement receipt after submitting the application form by the candidate. It is mandatory to preserve the acknowledge receipt.

Goa MBBS Admissions Counselling Process 2019:

Stage – I: It is mandatory to carry the course fee while attending the counselling process. Candidates must attend the NEET-UG counselling process at DTE, Porvorim – Goa on the prescribed date. The candidates must carry the following documents to the counselling process: -

  • Statement of Marks – Class 10 and Class 12
  • NEET-UG 2019 result card
  • Residence/ Domicile Certificate
  • Category/ Caste certificate (only for reserved categories)
  • Eligibility Certificate from Goa University (only for applicants other than Goa Board)
  • Copy of Aadhar Card
  • Income Certificate
  • Acknowledgment Card (with the photograph)
  • NEET-UG Admit Card 2019

Stage – II After the certificate verification process is complete, the candidates will have to pay the course fee at the HDFC Bank near DTE Goa. The admission will be confirmed after the payment of the course fee.

Goa MBBS Admissions Selection Process 2019:

The selection of the candidates is purely based on NEET merit and previous academic record. Only those candidates whose name features in the final merit list will get admission into MBBS course.
