ISC Class 12 Legal Studies Weightage 2026 : The Legal Studies exam consists of two parts: 70 mark theory paper and 30 mark project work. The theory paper is divided into three sections: Section A consists of very short answer-type questions and MCQs worth 14 marks. Section B consists of short-answer type questions, worth a total worth 28 marks and Section C consists of long-answer type questions of worth 28 marks. While the theory paper focuses on conceptual clarity, case studies and application-based questions, the project work includes research, analysis and present legal issues in detail. ISC Class 12 Legal Studies Weightage 2026 Project Work

The board has not provided any topic-wise weightage for the subject; however, the detailed mark distribution scheme has been provided for the project work. The project work will be assessed by the teacher and a visiting examiner appointed locally and approved by CISCE. Mark allocation per study will be as follows:

ISC Class 12 Legal Studies Question Paper Blueprint 2026

Overall, the Legal Studies exam is of 100 marks, where 70 marks are for theory and the remaining 30 marks are for project work. The ISC Class 12 Legal Studies paper comprises very short answer type questions/MCQs, short answer type questions and long answer type questions.
