The scheme gives educational loans of up to ₹15 Lakh at a subsidized 4% simple interest rate , without the need for collateral security. This applies to undergraduate, postgraduate, professional, or technical programs . As per the prescribed criteria, only the permanent residents of Jharkhand can apply for Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme . The main goal of the government with GSCC is to raise the Gross Enrollment Ratio. It also aims to support higher education for students from remote and underdeveloped districts.

Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme Eligibility

To apply for the GSCC Scheme, you must have completed Class 10 for diploma programs or both Class 10 and Class 12 for undergraduate and higher courses in Jharkhand. Additionally, students need to get admission at one of India’s top universities, such as IITs, IIMs, or AIIMS, or at colleges recognized by NIRF or NAAC. Applicants should be under 40 years old and must not currently have an education loan.

Students can secure loans under the GSCC scheme only if they are admitted to an institution that meets the following criteria:

  • Ranks in the Top 200 of the NIRF Overall Rankings or Top 100 in its specific category.
  • Holds NAAC accreditation with a minimum grade of ‘A’.
  • Is recognized and listed by the Department of Higher and Technical Education (DHTE) in Jharkhand.
