Maharashtra B.Sc Nursing Eligibility Criteria 2020
The first order of business, prior to taking admissions to any nursing programmes, is ensuring that you meet the Maharashtra B.Sc Nursing eligibility criteria 2020. Every nursing college in the state will define its own eligibility criteria for the B.Sc Nursing course. However, since most B.Sc Nursing colleges in Maharashtra will take admissions to the course based on the performance of the candidates in the entrance test accepted by the college, the candidates will be required to meet the eligibility criteria for attempting the B.Sc Nursing entrance test. However, all candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria for B.Sc Nursing admissions in the medical colleges of Maharashtra:
All candidates must have cleared the class 12 board examinations from a recognised board of education in one of the science streams, with subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
All candidates will be required to have obtained a minimum aggregate score of 45% in the qualifying exam.
All nursing aspirants will also be required to have a valid NEET score in order to take admissions to the nursing courses.

Once the candidates have assured that they meet the eligibility criteria, all the candidates will have to go through the guidelines for Maharashtra B.Sc Nursing Admissions Process 2020. Since all the admissions to the B.Sc Nursing course will be based on NEET-UG scores, the aspirants will need to apply and go through the selection process as outlined by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the NEET-UG 2020 conducting body. Here are the steps that the candidates are required to follow in order to take admission to the various courses.
Maharashtra B.Sc Nursing Application Process 2020
For the candidates who aspire to pursue a B.Sc Nursing course from one of the medical colleges in Maharashtra, candidates will need to complete the Maharashtra B.Sc Nursing application process 2020. As per the guidelines, candidates will be required to complete the application process on the official website for Maharashtra CET Cell. Here are the steps to follow in order to complete the B.Sc Nursing 2020 application process in Maharashtra.
The candidates will be required to visit mahacet.org or at ntaneet.nic.in
Candidates will first be required to register to the CET Cell in order to access the online application form.
Candidates must download the Information Brochure pertaining to NEET-UG 2020, which will be uploaded by the Cell. Candidates must go through the information brochure completely and qualify all the criteria mentioned in the brochure.
Candidates will then be able to click on the application link that has been provided by the CET cell on its website.
Enter in all the necessary details in the application form, however, the candidates must ensure that the details that have been entered in the application form are correct. Any mistakes committed during filling up the application form may lead to the cancellation of the application and the overall admission process for the candidates.
Candidates will further be required to submit a “Declaration by the Candidate”. Candidates must go through all the declarations that have been mentioned on the website before clicking on “I Agree”.
After the candidate has clicked on “I Agree”, they will be required to submit the password that has been set by the candidate.
Before clicking on “Submit”, candidates must ensure that all the data that have been entered are correct as no changes will be entertained by the CET Cell afterward.
Clicking on “Submit”, candidates will then be asked to pay the application fee of ₹1,000 through the payment gateway provided by the cell.
Candidates are advised to take a printout of the payment receipt, as the receipt will behave as proof of completing the application process.
Candidates will then be required to Log in again to verify the application process.
After the application form has been completed and verified, all candidates will be required to download the application form and take a printout of the same for future admission processes. After the completion of the application form and successfully submitting the application form, the candidates will then be required to upload the necessary documents on the website.
Maharashtra B.Sc Nursing Application Fee 2020
In order to take admissions to the B.Sc Nursing courses at the nursing colleges in Maharashtra, the candidates will have to apply for admissions, which is completed only after successful payment of the Maharashtra B.Sc Nursing application fee 2020. The application fee will be paid on the official website for Maharashtra CET Cell. As per the brochure, the aspirants will need to pay a B.Sc Nursing application fee of ₹1,000.
Maharashtra B.Sc Nursing Selection Process 2020
The entire admissions to the B.Nursing courses in Maharashtra for the next academic year will be based on admission guidelines for NEET-UG 2020. Therefore, all the admissions to the different courses and colleges will be based on the NEET-UG 2020 Counseling process. Here are the selection processes for B.Sc Nursing through NEET-UG 2020 in Maharashtra.
The first step in the selection process for the candidate is by filling out the “Preference Form” online. All the candidates will be selected based on the preference list chosen by the candidates. Candidates must ensure that the preferences filled in are final, as no changes will be allowed for later rounds.
Candidates will be allowed to choose the preference list only after they appear for the physical verification of documents and clear the same as well. A provisional merit list will be released by the state CET cell of the eligible candidates.
Candidates will be selected based on their performance in NEET-UG 2020 along with the preference selected by the candidates.
Under NEET-UG Counselling Sessions, B.Sc Nursing selection processes may be completed in two or more rounds, depending on the vacancies available for each course.
After the first round, candidates will not be required to fill in the online preference form, including in the “Mop Up Round”.
Seats will be allotted based on the preferences filled in by the candidates.
After the seats have been allotted, the candidates may either accept the college and course that have been allotted to them or wait for the second round of the seat allotment.
If the candidate is satisfied with his/her seat in the college and course, they will have to submit a Status Retention Form, which once submitted, cannot be taken back.
Candidates will be able to wait till the Mop-Up Round if they are not satisfied with the seat allotment. However, once the seat has been allotted and the Status Retention Form has been submitted, candidates will not be allowed to change their choices.
The final merit list will be released by the respective authorities on the official website.
The selection of the candidates who have gone through the entire admission procedure as mentioned by the cell will be considered final and will be binding on the candidate as well.
Maharashtra B.Sc Nursing Fees 2020
After the seats have been allotted to the candidates and the status retention form has been submitted to the respective Deans of the college, candidates will further be required to have paid the Maharashtra B.Sc Nursing Fees 2020.
All candidates who have been selected must pay the course fee in the form of a Demand Draft from any Nationalised or Scheduled Commercial Bank in India, in favour of the Dean or Principal, payable at the respective College, or as has been defined by the college itself.
