Margadeepam Scholarship 2025 was released by the Kerala State Government, through the Minority Welfare Department, on Aug 19, 2025. The last date to apply for the Margadeepam Scholarship is September 12, 2025. Through this scholarship scheme, eligible students studying from class 1 to 8 in government or government-aided schools across Kerala can avail of financial assistance of Rs 1500. To qualify, your annual family income should be less than or equal to 2.5 lakh.

Detailed Eligibility Criteria for Margadeepam Scholarship 2025

The detailed eligibility criteria have been mentioned below:

• Permanent Resident of Kerala
• Students of classes 1 to 8 in government or government-aided schools in Kerala
• Belonging to one of the following religious minority communities of Muslims, Christians, Parsis, Jains, Buddhists, Sikhs, in accordance with the population ratio-based allocation
• Family income not exceeding Rs. 2.5 Lakh
• For students with disabilities, a valid disability certificate indicating at least 40% disability is required to qualify for consideration
• Approx. 30% of the scholarships are reserved for female students. If sufficient female applicants are not available, the remaining slots may be allocated to male students
