The Bachelor of Technology or B.Tech admission process of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Basar has released the merit list on October 20, 2020. The Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), also known as IIIT Basara, offers admission into a 6-year integrated B.Tech programme where the minimum educational eligibility criterion is class Xth. The online application process for this integrated 6-year B.Tech programme began on 16th of September 2020. 4-Year B.Tech Programme

RGUKT B.Tech Admission Eligibility Criteria 2020

Students who wish to apply for the 6-year B.Tech programme offered at Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) must fulfil the following eligibility criteria mentioned below - 

Domicile

The applicants must be either local residents of the state of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana State

Educational Qualifications

Class Xth qualified (or equivalent) students from any board recognised by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana State. Applicants must also have cleared their respective qualifying examinations in the first attempt

Age Limit

Applicants must be younger than 18 years of age as on 31st December 2020. SC/ST category applicants should be younger than 21 years of age as on 31st December 2020

International Students

Applicants who fulfil the aforementioned eligibility criteria and must hold OCI/PIO/Indian Nationality cards

RGUKT B.Tech Admission Application Process 2020

The application process for B.Tech admission at Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) is divided into the following stages - 

Step 1

Payment of application fee and obtaining the application ID

Interested applicants have to click in the given link - RGUKT Application Form and click on either of the two online fee payment modes   

Step 2

Filling of online application form

After paying the online application fee amount, the applicants have to fill up the online application form. The applicants will be asked to provide all their basic personal details like educational qualification details, correspondence address, certificates & photographs etc and submit their application forms

Step 3

Taking out a copy of the submitted application form

Once the applicants successfully have submitted their application forms, they have to save a copy of the same for themselves for future use

Note - Only those applicants who belong to either of the following categories are allowed to submit their application forms through the offline process in which they have to send their application forms (along with all the relevant certificates) via post in the specified address -

Documents Required While Applying for B.Tech Admission at RGUKT

The applicants have to submit the following documents while applying for B.Tech admission at RGUKT for the academic year 2020-21 -

  • Hall ticket of SSC exam

  • Study certificate

  • Certificate of Caster (if applicable)

  • Sports/NCC/CAP/PwD certificate

  • Recent passport-sized photograph

RGUKT B.Tech Admission Selection Process 2020

Selection into the 6-year integrated B.Tech programme offered at Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) is done on the basis of the marks obtained by the applicants in their respective qualifying exams. Applicants belonging to the non-residential Government Schools including the Zilla Parishad and Municipal Schools will be given a deprivation score which will be added to their qualifying exam score/CGPA. Based on the qualifying exam marks, the candidates will be shortlisted for the counselling process where all their documents and certificates will be scrutinized. Applicants belonging to the sports/NCC/CAP/PwD category, who will be shortlisted, will also be invited to take part in a counselling process where all their relevant certificates and documents will be verified. Once, all the relevant documents and certificates of the applicants are verified, the candidates have to deposit the admission fee to confirm their admissions. Candidates can find out if they have been shortlisted for the counselling process from the official website of the university. They will also be informed via SMS/e-mail/post. 

RGUKT B.Tech Admission Tie-Breaker Policy

The RGUKT B.Tech admission tie-breaker policy will play its role if two or more candidates’ qualifying exam scores or GPAs will be tied in the exact chronological order mentioned below - 

  • Higher grade in maths

  • Higher grade in general science

  • Higher grade in English

  • Higher grade in social studies

  • Higher grade in the first language

  • Older age candidates

  • Lowest random number from the hall ticket number

OSSC, NIOS and SSC candidates

253 x (first 5 digits of the hall ticket number)/ the last 5 digits of the hall ticket number

ICSE and CBSE candidates

253 x (first 3 digits of the hall ticket number)/ the 4 digits of the hall ticket number
