NIE Mysore B.Tech : Fees, Courses, Eligibility, Placement & Admission 2024

Overall: I just chose this as it seemed to be giving a better ROI than most of the private colleges in north but it's hard to live here and everyday would make you regret that why did you not study more for your entrance exam. Many of the things can be improved such as introducing DSA in the 2nd semester itself. And not spoon feeding coding subjects to students.

Placement: There were more than 70% students placed with an average package of 11lpa in CSE, overall the package is around 8-9lpa including all branches. The highest package is around 60lpa and the lowest is around 3lpa. Top recruiters include many different companies such as JP morgan and Mercedes Benz.

Faculty: The teachers are good and helping but too much of spoon feeding happens sometime, some teachers have very less sense of logic or knowledge and do what ever they want to. But some really understand and make the concepts understand though the syllabus is not up to the mark.

Hostel: First of all the hostel is 17kms away from the college, you have to travel 1.5hrs everyday in city ksrtc old and shady buses provided by the college and do nothing but just get irritated. The food is miserable there is no fixed schedule you have to eat whatever it is(mostly rice). The infrastructure is poor, there is always issue of clean drinking water, no water coolers, have to drink warm water in summers.

Overall: It's been an incredible journey for me these four years in national institute of engineering. I am never going to forget these memorable days I have spent here. The one thing I will say about the college is it provides everything if you can use it you are going to excel so good. The college provides us with most of academical activities along with extracurricular activities like NSS,NCC ETC. It has provided us with internships in third year and those internships have helped me to learn about the corporate world and all. Its been a good experience studying here in National institute of engineering Mysore

Placement: Talking about Placement department in NIE: Almost 60% of students got placed in this course. Few students opted for higher studies. Top recruiting companies are Mercedes, L&T, Google, Microsoft, Infosys, Philips, Wipro, etc. The highest salary package offered was 53 LPA. The average salary package offered ranges between 8 LPA - 9 LPA. The lowest salary package offered varies between 6 LPA - 7 LPA. Around 50% of students got internships in this course. Placements in the civil branch are not good compared to other branches. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA and the average salary package offered is 2 LPA. Around 50% of students get internships. Placements are not good in the civil branch

Infrastructure: Our college has a good infrastructure as it facilitates all the latest facilities in the campus. There are numerous grounds available for sports activities and laboratories are designed using the latest technology for a good practical knowledge attainment for a students. Hostels are very hygienic and well maintained.

Faculty: The faculty here is mixed, like some are pretty average while some are exceptional. But everyone has at least a master's degree. The curriculum here is decided as per the college's case It is autonomous, and the timetable of the exam is also decided by the college itself. Teachers are highly qualified, helpful, and interactive. They are friendly with students. They always clarify our doubts. Doubt-clearing sessions are also held. Students from NIE are successfully placed and have good jobs. Semester exams are hard.

Hostel: Hostel fees:100000 Hostel facilities are provided for students. The rooms are 3 sharing and attached bathrooms are not available there are common washrooms only. The hostels are clean. You can register for hostel in the college itself. Gym is also their in Hostel and their is no separate fees for fees. Students should not go out of Hostel after 9:30 PM Their is one caretaker,he take cares about student

Overall: The college has good surrounding atmospherere. The college has got so achievement in every field. The college is recognised for there sports and other activities.It also has good culture fest .Overall college is good.

Placement: The college has good placement opportunities and more than 300+ companies visit the college for placement.The placement training cell encourage students to take part in placement drive .They give training for students how to approach towards the HR.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is outstanding with lots of Greenery in surrounding.The climate is also chill and peace.It has good Sport opportunity for students . The classrooms are in good condition.The washroom are clean daily with good hygiene.

Faculty: The faculty members are highly educated with Ph.d holders. The faculty with good behaviour and they are helping students in every aspects of life.They teach nice and motivate the students.

Hostel: The hostel is surrounding is good.All the grocery shops are on walkable distance.The hostel rooms are good and clean.The food is also also prepared with good hygiene and it is nutritious.It has so many facilities for students .
