The board has scheduled all the exams for the morning shift. The exams will be conducted from 10:45 am to 2 pm. The students should report at the exam center at least half an hour before the commencement of exams. In addition to the Main subject, there will be some vocational exams too. The board has set a different exam duration for these subjects.
- Sewing and Needlework Exam : The duration of the examination will be 4 hours 15 minutes.
- Music (Vocal & Instrumental) Exam : The practical exam will only be conducted in Kolkata, and the duration of the theory exam will be 2 hours 15 minutes.
- Computer Application Exam : Students will get 2 hours and 45 minutes to write the theory exam.
- Vocational Subjects Exam : The theory exam will be 1 hour and 45 minutes. The practical exam was already conducted by the respective schools or the Sector Skill Council.

West Bengal Madhyamik Exam Guidelines 2026
The following are some of the important guidelines issued by the West Bengal board for Madhyamik exams. Read and follow them.
- Prohibited Electronic Devices : The students should not carry any electronic device, such as mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches, or any other electronic gadget. If found with any such item, students will have to face immediate cancellation of the exam.
- Timings : The examination will start at 10:45 am and students will have to report to the exam center at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam. They will have to remain seated inside the examination hall till 2:00 PM. No one will be allowed to leave the exam hall until the exam is over.
- Parents or Guardians not allowed : Parents or guardians will have to wait outside the examination center. No one will be allowed to enter the examination center.
- Anti-Cheating Measures : The board will take strict actions against students found indulging in any unfair means. The students should avoid any cheating methods, as the board can directly cancel their exam.
