The general eligibility criteria to apply for admission in Chandigarh University UG courses is candidates must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board. At the PG level, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree to apply for Chandigarh University PG admission. Candidates who have a PG degree are eligible to apply for Chandigarh University PhD admission.

The documents required to apply for Chandigarh University admission are Class 10 and 12 mark sheet, UG mark sheet (if applicable), PG mark sheet (if applicable), date of birth certificate, passport-size photograph, transfer certificate and character certificate. International students are also required to submit a copy of their passport and Visa.

For admission in Chandigarh University, you need to appear for CUCET or qualify other state and national level examinations. The university does not offer direct admission. Yes, candidates can get admission to any of the BE courses of the university on the basis of the scores of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) scores. However, the JEE Mains exam is valid only for BE and no other course.

The CUCET Phase 1 exam will be conducted till May 30, 2023. The CUCET 2023 phase 2 will be held from June 1, 2023, to October 31, 2023.

The BE course is the flagship course of the university and more than 35% of students opt for the Computer Science specialisation of this course. The Chandigarh University BE fees range between Rs 4 lakh to Rs 12 lakh depending on the specialisation. The admissions to this course are accepted on the basis of the scores of the CUCET. Apart from this, the JEE Mains scores are also accepted. 

The Chandigarh University admission criteria for MBA is based on the CUCET examination followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds. Apart from this, for MBA admission, the university also accepts the CAT, MAT, and, XAT scores. 

The admissions through the Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) are currently ongoing. The CUCET 2023 exam date for phase 1 is from November 28, 2022 - May 30, 2023, and the Phase 2 exam will be held from June 1, 2023 - October 31, 2023. 

Candidates need to visit  cuchd.in and register as new candidates. Make a payment of Rs 1,000 and fill the application form. Select a date for the CUCET test and appear for the same. Based on the CUCET results, the status of  Chandigarh University admission will be intimated to students. For some courses, appearing for counselling will also be required and it will be informed by the university.
