GNLU Gandhinagar admission 2024 has started for various courses.  The university offers admission to law programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and doctoral levels. Amongst them, the five-year LLB programme is the most popular. Admission to the Integrated LLB course at GNLU is based on the rank secured in the CLAT UG exam. At the PG level, admission to the LLM programme is based on merit secured in the CLAT PG exam. The Consortium of NLU conducts CLAT UG and PG exams and releases the GNLU merit list based on students’ performance. 

GNLU PhD admission process is different from UG and PG courses. Students looking for admission to PhD programmes need to take an entrance test held by the university. However, students who have qualified UGC NET/JRF/SLET/M.Phil exams aren’t required to take the entrance test. Moreover, direct admission at GNLU Gandhinagar is available in PG Diploma programmes and supernumerary seats in LLB and LLM based on CLAT ranking except for international students.

GNLU Gandhinagar Admission Process 2024

GNLU Gandhinagar offers admission to 10+ courses at UG, PG, diploma and doctorate levels. GNLU Gandhinagar LLB admission is based on the candidate’s performance in CLAT UG whereas admission to LLM is based on CLAT PG. GNLU Gandhinagar direct admission is offered to International students and a few other categories. GNLU Gandhinagar's admission process has been divided into two groups mentioned in detail below. 

GNLU Gandhinagar Admission through CLAT Website

Step 1: Register and appear for the CLAT exam at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

Step 2: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will release the CLAT invite list. 

Step 3: Candidates whose names are on the list need to register for CLAT counselling conducted by the Consortium of NLUs.

Step 4: Pay counselling fees and fill out college choices. Select Gujarat National Law University as the first choice. 

Step 5: The consortium of NLU will conduct five counselling rounds for GNLU 2024 admissions. After every round, CNLU will release the GNLU merit list 2024.  

Step 6: Candidates to whom seats are allotted in the first round can accept the seat and exit the admission process, or they can float the seat and sit in the next rounds.  

Step 7: Candidates provisionally selected for GNLU admission 2024 need to visit the campus. 

Step 8: Secure admission by paying fees and verifying required documents. 

GNLU Gandhinagar Direct Admission Process (Supernumerary Quota)

GNLU also offers direct admission to a few seats of supernumerary quota students. It includes Non-resident Indians (NRI), Foreign Nationals (FN), students from North East India (NEI ) Jammu & Kashmir(J&K) and sports quota students. Except for international students or FN, admission to all other categories (NRI/NEI/J&K/Sports) is based on CLAT ranking. As the GNLU Gandhinagar CLAT first merit list is out, the options to Freeze, Float and Exit seats are open for the candidates. Then, selected candidates are notified to participate in the counselling process. The Consortium of NLUs allots seats to the selected candidates based on their CLAT score, college preference and category. Yes, you can get admission to Gujarat National Law University if you are eligible. The university has started the admission process for the academic session 2024-25 through CLAT scores. GNLU offers law programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD levels. Along with these, the university also offers a PG Diploma in three specialisations including Biotechnology, Law and Policy, IPR and Medical Law and Policy. However, you have to ensure you are eligible for your desired course before applying for the courses. For the UG and PG programmes, CLAT has released the admission cutoff which shall be qualified for admission.
