Selection for GE English Language Course for First-Year Students - First-year students are required to fill out a selection form for the GE English Language course. Candidates belonging to scheduled caste/tribes are awarded scholarship by the state to which they belong. Such students are advised to obtain application forms from the Accounts Section immediately after their admission and submit the same duly completed along with required certificates before the last date announced each year. Claims of students, who do not submit their application in time, will not be entertained.
SC/ST, OBC, PwD students etc. should submit their scholarship form for the academic year by February for processing scholarship to SC/ST, OBC, PwD etc. each year.
The Continuance of any freeship, scholarship or grant of other privileges depend on satisfactory academic progress, regular attendance, discipline and good conduct. Every stipend holder needs to abide by the college rules and regulations and have a proven good conduct.
There is a facility of STUDENT AID FUND in the college to help the economically weak & meritorious students.
The college awards fee concession to needy, deserving and meritorious students to the extent of 20% of the total fees collected during the year on the basis of result. Application on prescribed forms are to be submitted to the Accounts section by 31st August.
The scholarship schemes of Bhagini Nivedita College is dependent on the Delhi University sponsored scholarships. The University of Delhi holds the competitive examination in the month of October each year for awarding the All India Entrance Scholarship cost 250.00 per month tenable for three years. Students of Honours Courses in Bhagini Nivedita College who have at least 55% marks in the 12th level aggregate may apply for participating in this examination.
Application of ‘Examination Branch - VII (i)’ has to be submitted to the University of Delhi along with examination fee of Rs. 50 by the last date. Except that, there are many other scholarships offered by the different organizations throughout the year. Availability of these scholarships depends upon different sets of eligibility criteria. From time to time, students will be informed about such scholarships.
The Bhagini Nivedita College offers 20% fee waiver scheme to the needy students on the basis of their performance in the academic. The candidate can get the scope to apply to the scheme till 31st August each year.
Except that, the students who belong to the reserved and recognised backward categories can avail scholarships from the state they belong. The SC, ST, OBC students are requested to check with the scholarships provided by their respective states.
