The Jesus and Mary College campus area is spread over a lush-green surrounding of 14.1 acres. It is one of the most beautiful campuses on the south campus of DU. Below we mention the various facilities of the JMC College:
Overall: Jesus and mary college is the best college ever for girls, the faculty is too good the infrastructure is too good, i really love jesus and mary college and being a part of it makes me feel proud.
Placement: Placements here in jesus and mary college as far as i know is awesome. I really love jesus and mary college due to its placement. I genuinely feel proud as a jmc student
Infrastructure: Jesus and mary clg has the best infrastructure ever in south campus colleges the placement is also really nice i really live jmc college it’s in chanakyapuri
Faculty: The faculty here in jmc college is a gem. the teachers of especially jesus and mary college are too good and frank and friendly. I feel proud saying that i’m a part of this college and i’m under this faculty.
Hostel: The hostel is really nice and comfortable i love jesus and mary hostel. it is spacious and it feels like home i really love everything about jmc college
Overall: Very good college, amazing faculties , very good crowd and infrastructure. Good academic and holistic development. Many societies and good fests and many more extra curricular activities
Placement: Placement is very good. Placement cell is very active and tedious. They bring excellent speakers regularly for the benefit of students . They provide amazing internships and invite big companies to college like Deloitte, BCG Accenture etc
Infrastructure: Very good infrastructure with many comfortable and fully ventilated classrooms, halls , labs , library and the most famous thevent hall. Very beautiful parks
Faculty: The faculty is very good. There is majority of female teacher with less of male teachers making the students more comfortable. They are very understanding
Hostel: There is no hostel in the campus for students but there are surrounding areas were students live with comfortable lifestyle and affordable living. Nearest metro station is durgabai deshmukh
Overall: Jesus and Mary College (JMC) is one of the best colleges you could get admitted to. The administration and faculty is really helpful. A lot of cultural programs and developmental activities take place to enhance a students ability to grow apart from your specific course knowledge.
Placement: The college has a separate placement cell, where in companies share their job availability for students with specific courses. One can always join this cell and give interviews as they desire. 95% of the students get placed quite easily. And even later if you plan on studying your masters and then look out for a job , just having the tag of JMC plays a significant role.
Infrastructure: Admitting yourself into JMC assures a clean campus which is really huge. You have the canteen (gets Crowded due to an amazing menu), a special garden, open gym, professional gym, football ground, basketball ball and volleyball court too. Not to mention an air-conditioned library with 3 floors. The campus is kept clean around 95% of the times except for when there are programs where students from outside visit so it gets a little hard to have them in control.
Faculty: All the teachers in JMC are disciplined and strict. But motherly love can be assured from teachers of B.A. Programme Department faculty. You can turn to them for any help related to your education, personal life or even college issues. Apart from that, the knowledge they possess is remarkable, if paid attention to during lectures , you can surely score great!
Hostel: There is no hostel facility in the college although near by and around you surely would find PGs that even hus buses to drop and pick you up to and fro (timings need to be adhered)
Overall: I always knew that JMC was a reputed college but I was a bit hesitant because I thought an all girls college would be toxic and a lot of people told me to try to get into a co ed college. But the best thing I did was that I accepted JMC and did not apply for any upgradation. The crowd of the college is amazing (so much better than coed colleges istg). You feel safe, included and no one literally no one will ever judge you. You’re surrounded by ambitious and very talented woman so you might feel a lil dumb but then again this is what pushes you to be the best version of you. It’s a lil strict because it’s a convent college but overall very nice experience so far.
Placement: Since I’m from history department, I’m not very sure about placements but I remember searching about JMC placements and the placements of the college are quite good. It has tie ups with several companies and there’s a whole placement cell dedicated to the same cause in college.
Infrastructure: JMC has one of the best infrastructures in DU. I remember when it was my first day, all I did was gasp at how beautiful the buildings were. So if you’re coming to JMC, you do not need to worry about background for pictures. The whole college is aesthetic (purple wall during winters is a highlight)
Faculty: The facility is renowned. I’m from history department and I can proudly assure that my department has excellent professors. Almost all of them have done their masters from either JNU or abroad.
Hostel: One thing which the college lacks is that it doesn’t provide hostel facilities. Maybe in future, it may provide but not as of now. However, there are a lot of pgs in Satya Niketan (which is a student area and is at a walking distance from JMC)
Overall: Superb college with good infrastructure and professors only thing lacking is it’s a girls only college otherwise everything’s perfect. The crowd is also very good
Placement: Companies like BCG, Accenture, Deloitte do come for placements but it’s quite tough to get through. Nevertheless opportunities are available though scarce
Infrastructure: In Delhi University, Jesus and Mary college is one of the most beautiful college with up to date infra and classrooms, the beautiful cherry blossom trees and the purple wall makes it all the more pretty
Faculty: The faculty here is different from other Delhi university colleges the teachers take the effort to teach and explain. They’re understanding and supportive, the only con is we’ve to attend the classes as there strict for the attendance
Hostel: There’s no official hostels in Jesus and Mary College but nearby there’s Satya Niketan and Anand Niketan where multiple pg or flat options are available to students. Some also stay in Saket, Mayapuri as they’re nearby
