The infrastructure at BRAC, is based upon modern education standards which includes a well-stocked library, state-of-art labs, modern classrooms, conference and seminar hall, medical and banking facility, infrastructural facilities for indoor and outdoor sports, Air conditioned auditorium, cafeteria and much more.
The College has an Alumni Club of which organizes and coordinates all alumni activities. The College has been acknowledging the efforts, talents and achievements of our Alumni by honoring them in Alumni Function held every year on the First Sunday of February. The college also releases an updated Directory of the former students.
The Eco Club of the college works for increasing green cover and sensitizing students about the needs of protecting and promoting our environment. The main activities of the Club include workshops, debates, dramatics, and other interactive programmes related with environment in which students participate with zeal and interest. Under the aegis of the Eco Club, the Herbal and the Rose gardens developed during the last three years are now best known in the University and televised nationally. The college has also installed Solar Panel and Paper Recycling Unit in the premises.
National Service Scheme (NSS) aims at inculcating the spirit of voluntary work among students and teachers through sustained community interactions and development. It brings the academic elite closer to the society. The College NSS unit with 250 volunteers , the activities of this unit included - ‘Gram Jagriti Yojna’ – a three day visit to Banpur, a small village in District Lalitpur, U.P. A variety of activities including Awareness Lectures, Cleanliness, Women Safety, building mathematical ability, self defence for women besides conducting a socio-economic survey of the village life were organised. NSS unit also organized ‘Rashtriya Ekta Utsav’ under which Rangoli, Debate, Article writing competitions were conducted on the themes of National Integration, Harmony and Role of Youth. A workshop for school students was also organized to create awareness among girls regarding admission and social and health issues. Besides, students were made aware of the National Digital Literary Mission. On the occasion of National Youth Day, a Quiz competition was also organized.
In persuuance of its specific objective to improve the physiccal, mental and immotional health of students, the Yoga Committee undertook following activiies during the academic year 2016-17
The College is holding regular Yoga sessions in it premises daily (Monday-Saturday) from 7.45 A.M. to 8.45 A.M. The session is supervised by trained yoga instructor from the Bhartiya Yog Sansthan. No fee is charged for training sessions and breakfast is also free of cost.
Red Ribbon is a society aimed at uniting the people in the common fight against the HIV/AIDS disease. The role of the Red Ribbon Club is to educate youth with correct, concise and adequate information and increase their level of awareness about HIV/AIDS/STI, sexuality and other related issues with the sensitization of the youth regarding care and support needs of PLWHA (people living with HIV/AIDS) and instill in them the spirit of helping and supporting the PLWHA, and reduce the stigma and discrimination against them. Key Areas of RRC are Vibrancy of youth; Sex & Sexuality peer Education, Voluntary Blood Donation. Besides these activities, the committee also organised 3 full days workshops on “Sociological perspective of HIV Aids” and related topics.
Under the guidance and motivation of the dedicated teachers, ANOs and caretaker, students opting for NCC are actively participating in various sports including horse riding, rock climbing, mountaineering, para sailing and rafting etc. the basic behind this endeavor is to build a healthy, disciplined & committed team of NCC cadets. The overwhelming participations of our cadets in Prime Minister’s rally and Republic Day parade and a number of camps is well recognized by the NCC unit office.The team of faculty incharge of the NCC organizes annual NCC festival with the name ‘Lakshya’ every year besides release of annual magazine with the same title.Yoga training to our cadets and the unfurling of national flag on the eve of Republic Day and Independence Day are important features of the college NCC curriculum.
The Cultural Society is one of the most active and vibrant societies. It has a vision to attain the epitome of cultural excellence, gives its students the guided exposure to various art forms including dance, music and drama. Students excel in their respective fields and win accolade in intra and inter-college competitions. The cultural society works through sub-societies like Dance, Music, Fashion, Creativity and Fashion societies. These operate in tandem with the common goal of exploring talent amongst students. Throughout the year our students work to excel in their respective fields and win accolade in intra and inter-college competitions. The Annual Cultural festival ‘Chetna Exuberance’’ is one such event which gives a platform to such hidden talents. This year Chetna Cultural Festival saw participation from over 28 colleges with around 1000 online registrations participation in 20 different events.
