NASSCOM (National Association of Software and Computer Manufacturers) is conducting its FSIT (Foundation Skills in IT) program at BIT. The first such program is scheduled to be conducted at BIT around December 2014.
MOU with North Dakota State University (NDSU), USABIT has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the North Dakota State University (NDSU), USA, on October 25, 2013. The signing of this MOU throws open new avenues for joint development and conduct of a range of academic and research programs for the faculty and students of BIT and the NDSU which in the long run will greatly benefit both. The joint programs include collaborative research and education, exchange of students and faculty, cultural exchange, joint seminars and workshops, sharing of knowledge, sharing of new technologies and new methods of management through extension and other programs and funding opportunities for joint activity, among others. The signing of the MOU comes at a time when BIT is on the threshold of embarking on new and diverse academic and research programs which would help impart new dimensions to education with improved practices, innovative approach and an international outlook.
As a first step towards giving a solid foundation to this MOU, BIT and NDSU together are conducting an International Workshop in January 2015 on the theme of Sustainable Urban Development – Energy, Food and Resources Conservation. The workshop output is ultimately expected to culminate in the setting up of a Global Research Center at BIT on the theme of Sustainable Urban Development.
Overall: Gender ratio I would prefer to say equal and we have the best labs and for sports we have big football ground with rain water harvesting technology that will be used for gardening and other purposes of our college and We also have Basketball court and every year they have seminar on good topics like robotics and pcb designing etc over all I could give 8 as a rating.
Placement: From 3rd year the studensts will be eleigible For the interviews. There will be many companies coming to the college for campus placemneys like infosys tcs wipro etc. Package was around 3.5lpa. Almsot 60% got placed.
Infrastructure: I did My internship in Bearys Group which is a Construction company and the owner of the company himself is the owner of our college. There was no stipend for us but few students in Computer science department and Electronics and communication department did get a stipend of 8 to 9000 on their internship. Our work in the site was to mostly check the plan to construction or to verify that the Bar distribution in the beam column and slab is following the plan.
Faculty: There is no faculty like our's. They see students as their children and its soo good to see their support for students. Faculty members have a good discipline towards students and they are very helpful in all the situation they put their 100% to make us better and I love my faculty members.
Hostel: The hostel is very good one room has 3 beds and each floor has 13 such rooms. There are 3 washrooms and Bathrooms on each floor and a geyser is provided on each floor there are around 250 students in hostel. Registration for hostel can be done right with the College Registration.
