GP Birla Scholarship 2025 for the eligible students opened on October 9, 2025 and will close at October 31, 2025. EWS students require a minimum of 8 CGPA, while students belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/EBC/NCL category require 6.5 CGPA. For the reserved category students, maximum 1 backlog is allowed. Is there any scholarship at BIT Mesra?

Yes, there are scholarship programmes in Bit Mesra for the meritorious students. For BIT Mesra admission, entrance exams like NATA, JEE Main, CAT, MAT, XAT, etc. are a must for candidates looking for admissions in their preferred courses. General category students who will secure an AIR under 1000 in JEE Mains are eligible for a 100% fee waiver for their enrolled courses. For the SC/ST students, the AIR is 5000. For the students securing AIR 1001-2500 and 2501-4000, scholarships of 75% and 50% fee waivers are available, respectively. For the students looking for BArch admission in BIT Mesra, they must secure an AIR under 100 to have their programme fully funded by the BIT university. In BArch, 75% and 50% fee waivers are available for the bands of AIR 101-200 and 201-500 respectively.

Is there any fee waiver in BIT Mesra?

Yes, BIT Mesra offers fee waivers for meritorious, EWS, ESCS, and other reserved category students. For the meritorious students, different types of fee waivers are available. For the students securing AIR 1-1000, a 100% fee waiver is available, while students with an all-India rank in the bands of 1001-2500 and 2501-4000 are eligible for 75% and 50% fee waivers. In the BArch, students securing AIR under 100, 101-200, and 201-500, are eligible for 100%, 75%, and 50% discounts on their fees, respectively. 

Additionally, under the National Scholarship Scheme, fees for the ST students are fully funded by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.  

Are there government scholarships available at BIT Mesra Ranchi?

Yes, government scholarships are available at BIT Mesra Ranchi. The Ministry of Tribal Affairs launched a scheme named National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students (NFST) for the ST students. The ST students who secure their admission to the BIT Mesra, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs provides 100% funding of the courses. 

How to get a 100% scholarship at BIT Ranchi?

For the ST students, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs launched the NFST scheme, which stands for National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students. Under this central government-sponsored scheme, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs provides 100% funding of the courses where the ST students have enrolled themselves. However, if you are a general category student, there is, although, no such scheme, you can get a 100% scholarship at BIT Ranchi by securing an All India Rank of 1-1000 in JEE Mains for BTech admission. For BArch admission to the BIT Mesra Ranchi campus, you have to have a rank under 100 to get a 100% scholarship.
