GFTI colleges list

The Government Funded Technical Institutes are popularly known as the GFTIs. The article below talks about the list of 20 GFTIs in India, their admission process and fee structure. All the GFTIs in India are funded by the Government of India. Admission to the Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) is done by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority. The admissions to the list of GFTIs colleges in India is done on the basis of merit obtained in the JEE Main - Joint Entrance Examination Mains.

The JEE Main rank is determined on the basis of the scores of JEE Main plus the class 12th marks in the ratio (60:40). All the GFTIs in India have to participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority - JoSAA process which is primarily conducted for the candidates who have qualified the JEE Main exam. Candidates should keep in mind that the number of seats offered by each of the GFTIs in India is different and also varies from category to category.

GFTI Counselling Registration Process 2021

To participate in the JoSAA counselling process 2021, candidates have to register themselves online through the official website of JoSAA. Candidates can log in by using their respective JEE Main exam roll numbers. Candidates do not require to fill any other personal or academic details to register for JoSAA. All the details will be directly taken from the student's JEE Main and JEE Advanced application forms. However, candidates will have to update their contact details while applying for the centralised counselling process conducted by JoSAA.

GFTI Choice Filling through JoSAA 2021

Candidates who qualify the JEE Main exam are considered eligible for admission to the courses offered by the different GFTIs in India. The first step in GFTI seat allocation is to select the stream and the institute in which the candidate is interested to apply. Once the candidates have selected the steam, they will have to arrange the choice as per their preference. One must ensure that the choice of streams is filled in the order of preference - most preferred to least preferred. This can be done through the Arrange Filled Choices option available on the JoSAA official website. Ensure that you are fill in the choices as per your interest and only then submit the options.

GFTI Counselling and Seat Allotment 2021

The counselling dates for admission to the Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) is provided in the table above as indicated by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority. Only those candidates who qualify JEE Main 2021 will be able to take part in the GFTI counselling. The seat allotment for GFTIs will be done on the basis of the rank and score achieved by a candidate in the JEE Main exam. Since this year, the JEE Main exam is being conducted twice by the NTA, it is an opportunity for students better their scores with the two choices of attempts. The new exam date for JEE Main April & May 2021 is expected to be announced anytime soon in June. The online registration for JEE Main May 2021 will begin after the confirmation of the exam date. As CBSE, ISC and other boards canceled the 12th exams, the government will look forward to conducting JEE Main Phase 3 & 4 as early as possible. In all probability, the exam process of JEE Main 2021 is expected to be wrapped up by August.

For admission to B.Tech at Alliance University, the candidate must have passed class 12th in PCM/ PCB stream with a minimum of 50% aggregate. The candidate who has pursued a diploma in Engineering or B.Sc with a minimum aggregate of 50% can also apply for admission.
