Madurai Medical College infrastructure is admirable and provides all the leading facilities that will be beneficial in the student’s career. The campus has peaceful surroundings that create an ambiance for professional studying. MMC Madurai has a well-established library which has about 40,000 books available in various specialties along with international and national journals. There is also a digital library that provides access to the widest possible spectrum of information resources such as e-journals, e-books, online database, print & non-print materials relevant to the need of academics. The scheduled caste / scheduled tribe book bank scheme which was started in 1978-80 with the allotment of worth Rs.62,000 is now functioning in the library with books to the approximate value of Rs.15 to 20 lakhs.

Along with the academic studies, the college also focuses on extra-curricular activities which help to develop the overall personality of students. There are large playgrounds and indoor courts available in the campus for carrying out sports activities. Every year, the college conducts annual sports meet and award the extraordinary students with prizes. The gym facility is provided by the college separately for boys and girls.

Madurai Medical College offers hostel facilities for both boys and girls with a well-established mess that provides good quality and hygienic food. The students of Postgraduate courses are having separate hostel facility, in front of a college campus with a proper mess facility. There is also a co-operative store in the campus that deals with the items like medical books of both Indian and Foreign publishers, notebooks and all basic tools required for medical, nursing and pharmacy students. The canteen of the college serves scrumptious food at a reasonable price. The bank facility is also available in the college with the IOB branch that helps students and staff to process the financial transactions easily.
