The NIT Agartala campus has all the basic infrastructural facilities. NITA has well qualified and experienced faculty members, industry experts and technical supporting staff. The campus of NIT Agartala has a well-stocked library and labs for the students. The NIT Agartala library has a well-facilitated reading room with the back-volume section. The library at NIT Agartala is home to more than 34,000 books and 200 journals. The institute also has a digital library where the students have access to e-journals.
The NIT Agartala has a separate hostel for male and female students. As of now, there are six boys and two girls hostel at NITA. The rooms of the hostels are well-ventilated and have a dining hall along with a common tv room. The NITA campus has a central computer laboratory with a centralised server for the students to conduct their study and research work. The institute has a separate broadband connection for every terminal. The NIT Agartala campus is totally connected through Wi-FI through a wi-max wireless backbone.
For medical assistance and medical care of the students at NIT Agartala, a well-equipped medical unit with two senior medical officers and pharmacists are present. The NIT Agartala campus is well equipped for all the extracurricular and sports activities. The institute has a facility for indoor as well as outdoor games such as football ground, cricket ground, and basketball ground.
The Institute has both Boys’ hostel and Girls' hostel facilities. Presently there are six Boys' hostel and two Girls' hostel. In forthcoming, years more hostels will be available in the campus itself for which master planning is going on. Students interested for staying in the hostel have to fill up a prescribed form for admission to the hostel and have to deposit the necessary fees as decided by the concerned authorities.
The students actively participate in all co-curricular activities like games and sports, debate, cultural-functions, essay competition, drama competition, rallies on various themes, NSS programmes etc. being sponsored by the state Government and other statutory bodies and by the Institute authority. N.S.S or N.C.C. is a compulsory subject for all students.
