CENTRE FOR MANAGEMENT STUDIES was established in 2008 in Patiala, Punjab. It is a university-affiliated college sponsored by Swami Vivekananda Educational & Charitable Trust. (regd). It is associated with the IK Gujral Punjab Technical University in Jalandhar and Kapurthala. The institute provides Post Graduate and Post Graduate Diploma courses in a variety of fields, including management. It provides two courses across degrees such as M.B.A. and P.G.D.M. It also provides a hostel. • Eligibility: To be eligible, one has to pass graduation with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate, from any recognized University.
• Admission Procedure: Candidates’ selection to this program depends upon their ranks in Punjab MET/MAT/CAT/XAT valid scores, followed by group discussion and personal interview.
• Entrance Test: Punjab MET, XAT Exam, CAT Exam, MAT Exam

Instructions for Centre for Management Studies Admission: 

To avoid discrepancies before/during the admission process, candidates must follow the procedures listed below:

• The original papers, namely the mark sheet of the qualifying examination and the certificate of matriculation exam, will be returned to the candidates immediately after verification, and the university will keep authenticated copies of the document for its records.
• The candidate chosen for admission must pay the necessary fees at the time of admission.
• Fees can be paid by demand draft (in favor of Gurukul Institute of Management Studies - CMS), net banking, or cash.
• The candidate must write his/her name, admission form number, and the name of the course he/she has applied for on the other side of the Demand Draft.
• Candidates should keep a photocopy of the demand.

Centre for Management Studies Eligibility: 

To pursue MBA at GURUKUL students must satisfy the following eligibility criteria.

The minimum qualification to apply for admission to the MBA Program is a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 years of education) in any discipline which is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or any degree equivalent to the Bachelor's Degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the Secondary/ Higher Secondary/Pre-degree Examinations (or equivalent) conducted by a Board/University.

Those appearing for the final year of the Bachelor's degree examinations may also apply subject to completing their examinations or viva-voce, if any, before June 30. Such candidates will however have to fulfill the above eligibility requirements in respect of minimum academic qualifications for admission and furnish evidence to that effect latest by October 31. At the time of the interview. At the time of interview and/or admissions, they will be required to produce a letter from their College Principal/Head of Institution stating the exam dates.

Group Discussions and Personal: Selected candidates will be called to attend Interviews. Multiple Group Discussion & Personal Interview lists will be released in phases, both before and after the Application Deadline. The intimation for interview & group discussion is done through registered post and e-mail. In the case of some programs, Group Discussion may not be conducted, in favor of a rigorous interview process.

The selection criteria for calling candidates for admissions is based on multiple factors as follows:

• Past academic performance
• Quality & content of the answers in the application form
• Work experience, if any, in terms of job content & organization
• Group Discussion & Interview performance (applicable for final admissions only)
• Extracurricular activities, other interests & accomplishments 
• Competitive Test scores (CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT)

Centre for Management Studies Exam Results: Every year, the Gurukul Institute of Management Studies - CMS holds a semester/annual examination. Students can access their results both online and offline. The results list is also shown on the College noticeboard.
