GATE Result 2023 on hold? IIT Kanpur has withheld the result for a few candidates due to an error in the application form. Apart from that some of the candidates have not submitted the required document or the document submitted by theme does not meet the required criteria. Authorities have asked candidates to fulfil the requirement in order to access the result.

IIT Kanpur released the GATE result 2023 on 16th March 2023 in the evening along with the toppers list. While most of the candidates have access to the results, a few students reported that the results were not accessible. 

A statement released by IIT Kanpur authorities stated that some students are not able to access the result due to defects in the application and document submission. Students will be able to access the result only when they resend the required document like the photograph, signature, and required certificate to gate.iitk.ac.in.

While sending the document candidate needs to highlight details like the name, mobile number and enrollment id in the email. Candidate must send the email from the registered email address. Once the document verification is completed the candidate will be able to access the result on the official website and download the scorecard for the same.

In the year 2023, a total of 6.7 Lakh candidates registered for the exam among them 5.17 Lakh students appeared for the GATE 2023 exam. Overall 1 lakh candidates qualified for the exam and the pass percentage remains at 18%. The GATE 2023 scorecard remains valid for three years from the date of appearance.
