How do NID and IIT BDes Programs Differ in Industry Exposure

If you compare IIT BDes with NID courses, your decision relies on what type of designer you want to be. In NID, you are exposed to a hands-on approach where creativity and experimentation are utilised for learning. The graduates are hired from companies like TCS, Infosys, and Titan, with average packages going up to around INR 18 lakh for the top students. Conversely, IITs are technology blended with design thinking, readying you for product-based and industrial design careers. Microsoft and Samsung hire from IITs extensively and pay the median salary of INR 5-7 lakh. Go for NID if you enjoy artistic freedom and actual design exposure, or IIT if you enjoy a solid technical grounding and overseas opportunities.

CEED Marks vs Rank

CEED Marks vs Rank 2026: Check Detailed Analysis

The primary difference between CEED marks vs rank 2026 is that they determine your ranking based on the performance in the CEED 2026 exam. More or less, marks scored will reflect directly on the rank attained. One could say that if you get the highest score in CEED 2026, then you will gain the first rank. Here, the actual marks scored do not hold any relevance. This will then be reflected in the CEED 2026 merit list, which will be released soon after the CEED 2026 results are announced on March 4, 2026. Therefore, your CEED rank is based on the total marks converted to a percentile. The CEED Part A Cutoff 2026 is expected to range from 49 to 51 for the General category, 44.50 to 46 for the EWS and OBC categories, and 24.50 to 26 for the PWD, SC, and ST categories. The CEED 2026 cutoff marks for Part A were released by IIT Bombay on February 5, 2026, in the form of means and standard deviations. The mean and standard deviation for Part A (CEED 2026) are 45.48 and 16.98, respectively.

Hi,

I am sorry but there is no BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery) course offered at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. NID offers programmes in various design disciplines that include BDes and MDes courses only. BHMS is a medical degree related to homeopathy, typically offered by medical colleges or universities with a focus on healthcare. If you are interested in pursuing a BHMS degree, you should look into medical colleges or universities that offer this program.

Hello Samriddhi,

Yes, National Institute of Design (NID) Ahmedabad offers a four year long B.Des programme. Under the Industrial Design faculty, the Furniture and Interior Design course is offered. It has a total of 13 seats. For NID Ahmedabad admission to the B.Des Furniture and Interior Design course, you must go through the two-stage Design Aptitude Test (DAT).  You must appear for DAT Prelims and then successfully get shortlisted for the second stage DAT Mains.  You are going to acquire practical training, resource-material interaction, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills from the B.Des Furniture and Interior Design programme at NID Ahmedabad.

Hope this was helpful. Feel free to ask for any more information.
