Overall: It is a good and simple campus.Very friendly environment in the campus. The waether in campus so good. Studies in the campus are pretty decent and placements are good.the campus is located in a remote village called valavoor there so many ways to reach campus through bus or auto from pala.
Placement: the campus has decent placements upto 90% students will be placed every year on average of 10 lakhs per annum. Internships and placements are assisted by collage placements cell.
Infrastructure: Collage has good infrastructure and it has two canteens at present named milma and scoops. Collage has labs with well equipped instruments. Collage is not fully air conditioned but has ac in required classes.Hostels are well furnished and collage does not allow electrical applicances
Faculty: faculties are very well educated and very professional and almost all every faculty has graduated and post graduated from NIT's and IIT's and every lab is assessed by post graduating students.
Hostel: hostels are not air conditioned and not required because weather is so cool. Here in hostels per each room there will be 3 persons and the hostel rooms are well furnished with three study tables and chairs and two wooden shelves to keep clothes and some things.
Overall: IIIT Kottayam is a well-reputed college in Kerala and is also one of the blooming tech-college in India. Despite being a newer IIIT,the college is fluorishing as compared to other new IIITs. Faculty,Infrastructure,Connectivity and Availability are some plus points, while the few cons could be Mess Food and lack of proper Sport Facilities. Overall, these is a very good option for Tech Enthusiasts if you want a college having good alumini, coding culture and diversified college life
Placement: Placement wise too,IIIT K is not that far from some Lower NITs and Mid Tier IIITs . Though,it is out of competition against Top tier NITs and IIITs,we can still expect IIITK to be in that tier by next 5-7 years due to its potential and blooming alumini. Gives an average of 14.7 lpa in 2022 placement cell with almost a 100% placement rate
Infrastructure: It is a splendid college with ine of the most unique Infrastructure styles. Despite being situated in hilly region, this college maintained its functionality by making the college layout and infrastructure beneficial for the college students. Linearity,Symmetry and the natural beauty subdued within it makes this college a exotic place for studies.
Faculty: Faculty is however a wonderful pros for this college. Bloomed with good teaching staffs,HODs,Faculty’s Advisers and T.A, it is somewhat a good positive thing for students here. Plus even if the teachers are somewhat South-India based,it won’t be very tough for students from other parts of India to connect with them
Hostel: Though the hostel facility can’t be considered as the best compared to other college due to the unavailability of hostels for accommodation of all the 4 year students, still the hostels are a decent ones with 2 seater,3 seater and 4 seaters lodging layout
