Admissions at KALINGA UNIVERSITY- FACULTY OF TECHNOLOGY

Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) course at Kalinga University must go through the admission process given on this page to ensure that they understand the process before applying. Candidates can take admission to the first year of the B.Tech programme and the option for Lateral Entry admission is also available in the B.Tech course at Kalinga University.

Admission to all the programs offered by the faculty of engineering, Kalinga University will be done on the basis of scores in Kalinga Scholastic Entrance Examination (KALSEE). Kalinga University offers admission into B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, Civil Engineering & Mechanical Engineering only after the candidates satisfy each of the requirement successfully. Each of the available B.Tech programs at the Kalinga University is approved by AICTE. The application form will be uploaded on the official website of Kalinga University once the admission process begins. Candidates who want to apply for the program may then proceed to fill the application form and submit it before the last date.

Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria mentioned below before going to the application process. The KALSEE entrance exam will be conducted online by Pearson VUE at various centres available across India and other countries. Kalinga University B.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2020

Candidates must have cleared 12th examination with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Biology/ Biotechnology/ Chemistry or Technical Vocational Subjects. Candidates need to score at least 45% marks(40% in case of the candidate belongs from any of the reserved categories) in the subjects.

Kalinga University B.Tech (Lateral Entry) Eligibility Criteria 2020

Candidates seeking lateral entry into the B.Tech course at Kalinga University must meet either the Eligibility Criteria I or the Eligibility Criteria II, given below.

Criteria I

  • Candidate must have passed a Diploma in Engineering in a relevant stream from a recognized institute.

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in their Diploma course.

  • In case of reserved category candidates, 40% minimum aggregate marks are required.

Criteria II

  • Candidate must have a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree from a UGC-recognized university.

  • Candidates are also required to have a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in graduation.

  • Reserved category candidates are required to have 40% aggregate marks.

  • Candidate must have passed class 12th with Mathematics as a subject.

The university also specifies that candidates with a B.Sc background are also required to pass the Engineering Graphics / Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics subjects as part of their second-year curriculum at Kalinga University.

Kalinga University B.Tech Application Process 2020

Candidates need to fill the application form for KALSEE entrance exam after visiting the official website of Kalinga University www.kalingauniversity.ac.in. The application fee for the KALSEE entrance exam is INR 1000/-. Candidates may submit the application fee through via demand draft in favour of Kalinga University payable at Raipur or through cash. All the candidates are required to fill the correct information as if the application form is found to be incorrect, it may be rejected. Kalinga University B.Tech Selection Process 2020

Selection for the B.Tech program will be done on the basis of scores in the common entrance test(KALSEE) conducted by the Kalinga University. The exam will be conducted online for 90 minutes. A total of 90 questions will be asked in the entrance exam. Although there is no negative marking, candidates will have to score at least 50% marks to clear the entrance exam. Once the candidate got selected, he/ she will have to submit the annual fee within ten working days. In case the fee is not paid within the specified time, the allocated seat will be cancelled and it will be passed to the next waiting candidate.
