NMIMS Mumbai Reviews on Campus, Placements, Hostel & Facilities

Overall: I am a 2nd-year B.Arch student at NMIMS’s Balwant Sheth School of Architecture. So far, I have relatively good experience at the college. Initially, I thought I could not keep up with the pace here. But, my teachers and batchmates helped me a lot. In the last one and a half years, I learned so many things from my teachers.

Placement: Our school has a placement cell to help us get internships and jobs. Students can join various internships in top design firms to learn various skills hands-on. Some of these design firms offering internships are Nude Studio, Perkins Eastman, Architecture Brio, Broadway Malyan, Red Architects, and many others.

Infrastructure: Good students are a must for any architecture school. Our school has state-of-the-art studios and design workshops. There are also a computer laboratory and a library to help us with our study. We have internet access in all these areas which further helps us.

Faculty: The core faculty members at our school are really great. Their lectures are very informative as well as interactive. We also have visiting faculty members who come to teach us as per the requirements.

Hostel: Though hostels are good, they can be a bit expensive for some students. I pay around Rs 2,50,000 as the hostel fee. My room has an AC and all other basic facilities. There is also proper security. But, I think the food options at the mess can be better.

Overall: I completed MBA Business Analytics from the School of Business Management in 2022. I got into this course through NMAT. There is also another round of the selection process. The selection process is quite difficult. So, I needed to prepare really well.

Placement: Like many of my batchmates, I was placed in the final year of our course through final placements. I received a package of Rs 20 lakh per annum at a reputable company and currency working there as a product analyst. The highest package received in our batch was Rs 31 lakh per annum.

Infrastructure: Our school is quite attentive when it comes to its learning environment. From smart classrooms to computer centres to libraries, we had access to all the required facilities. The entire campus is air-conditioned. There are also separate lounge areas on every floor for group activities.

Faculty: Our school has an impressive faculty strength. Most of our teachers and PhD holders and experts in their respective fields. I never had any issues with them. They helped me whenever I needed throughout my course tenure.

Hostel: I did not go for a hostel as I am a local. However, many pf my batchmates from outside the state used to live at the hostels. Hostels at NMIMS Mumbai are good but I cannot give much information about them. The fees is around Rs 2,00,000 as far as I know.

Overall: I am presently studying B.Arch at NMIMS Mumbai. This is my third year. The college is one of the best colleges for B.Arch in Mumbai. The institute accepts NATA scores for admission. One needs to score good rank in NATA for admission in NMIMS Mumbai.

Placement: The placement is the strength of NMIMS Mumbai. The institute ensures every student gets placed in reputed organisations. Till now, I have done two summer internships provided by NMIMS Mumbai placement cell. Numerous renowned companies hire B.Arch students every year.

Infrastructure: The campus has a well stocked library with an adequate number of books, research papers, journals etc. for students. Further, there are well maintained indoor and outdoor playgrounds, cafeteria, hostels, seminar halls, auditorium, fully air conditioned classrooms etc.

Faculty: The faculty at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies Mumbai is very supportive and friendly. There are teachers with industrial experience. The college also has renowned international visiting faculty.

Hostel: This is my third year in the hostel and I have not faced any inconvenience. All basic facilities are available. The mess serves nutritious and delicious food. However, the fee is a bit expensive.

Overall: I completed M.Sc Statistics and Data Science from NMIMS Mumbai in 2022. Before that, I was also a student of B.Sc Data Science in this university. I was always interested in data science. So, I chose NMIMS as per my teachers’ recommendation. I am really happy that the college helped me so much in building a good career in data science.

Placement: Our university offers good placement opportunities. I got placed through PPO with an annual salary of Rs 13.2 lakh per annum. In our year, the highest package for M.Sc Statistics and Data Science was Rs 18.42 lakh per annum. I also interned for a reputed company before my final placement.

Infrastructure: Our classrooms are equipped with various modern gadgets. This enables our teachers to conduct lectures using a computer-centric approach. They can demonstrate various complicated topics in a simple manner using these tools. There is also a computer centre for students.

Faculty: My teachers were really good at taking high-quality lectures. They used various modern software to make the classes more engaging and interactive. I still remember some of those classes.

Hostel: NMIMS Mumbai has separate hostels for both boys and girls. My room had AC and all other basic amenities. For this room, I needed to pay Rs 3,00,000 per session as the hostel fee. There are also non-AC rooms for those who do not require AC.

Overall: MBA Core is one of the most sought-after courses at NMIMS. I got admission to this programme in 2022. I gave the NMAT exam for admission. There are also a WAT test and personal interview for this programme. I had to study really hard for admission.

Placement: Placements are really good for MBA Core. Students even get placed in Fortune 500 companies. Last year, MBA Core students received the highest package of Rs 57.65 lakh per annum. Some of our seniors got placements at companies such as Aditya Birla Capital, Barclays, American Express, etc.

Infrastructure: Our school offers all basic facilities. Our classrooms are big and have air conditioning systems. There is also a library to help us with our studies. Besides text books, we can also access various journals to support our learning journey.

Faculty: Most of our teachers are PhD holders and are experienced in teaching. They teach very well and clarify all of our doubts. Students can go to teachers if they have any doubts throughout the office hours.

Hostel: I am a resident of one os NMIMS Mumbai’s hostels. Hostels are good but the fee is quite expensive. I pay around Rs 2,00,000 per session as the hostel fee. My room does not have an AC. AC rooms are more expensive than this.

Overall: I graduated from NMIMS Mumbai in 2021 after completing a B.Tech in Computer Engineering. NMIMS Mumbai provides more than just curriculum-related material; it also provides workshops and training sessions to help students enhance the practical skills needed for a B.Tech in Computer Engineering degree. When a prominent recruitment company hired me, I knew that NMIMS Mumbai had provided me with all the knowledge I needed to pursue a career in computer engineering.

Placement: Every NMIMS Mumbai student receives a placement. NMIMS Mumbai's coordinator is also supportive. Students in our class were offered positions in software development, system administration, network engineering, and web development, among other fields. The placement cell ensures that every student gets a job.

Infrastructure: The NMIMS Mumbai campus offers a holistic environment with excellent amenities and facilities. A central instrument laboratory, a canteen, a mess, a library, medical facilities, and an auditorium are among the other amenities.

Faculty: The B.Tech in Computer Science teachers at NMIMS Mumbai has always been helpful. We had teachers with PhDs and engineering degrees from major colleges, as well as certifications in their specialties. The faculty demonstrates their level of expertise.

Hostel: NMIMS Mumbai has hostel facilities and you can reside in nearby reneted accomodations. Rented accommodation might seem a bit expensive but hostels are available in reasonable prices. Students can choose at their convenience.

Overall: I am currently studying B.Sc Economics at NMIMS Mumbai. Our school is a prestigious arts college in the region. In fact, it was ranked the 3rd Best Emerging Arts College of this century by India Today-MDRA Best College Survey 2019.

Placement: Students of our school receive good placement opportunities at the end of the course tenure. As per the records, the highest package received last year was Rs 16 LPA. More than 120 companies visited the campus for recruitment.

Infrastructure: Our school has an excellent library with a vast collection of textbooks and reference material. Students also have access to online resources and academic journals through EBSCO, JSTOR, and Proquest Central.

Faculty: The faculty strength of our school of quite good. There are also a number of visiting faculty members from all around the country. We also have teachers from the industry who provide us with very useful insights into the current industry.

Hostel: Our university has separate hostels for boys and girls on campus. I am one of the residents of the boys’ hostel. The rooms are good and come with all the basic amenities. There are also some value-added facilities available at our hostel.

Overall: I am currently a second-year B.Sc Finance student at the ASMSOC Mumbai. I got into this unique programme offered by NMIMS Mumbai through its NMIMS NPAT exam. There were a huge number of applicants. So, the exam was quite competitive. You need to prepare well for this exam to get into the university.

Placement: Our school has an excellent placement record of more than 25 years. Graduating students generally get jobs through the on-campus placement drives and with handsome salaries. In 2022, the average package was Rs 7.35 LPA. One of my seniors is now working at a top organisation like DE Shaw & Co.

Infrastructure: The classrooms at our school are spacious and digitally enabled. There are also computer centres with the latest instruments. We also have a library at our school. I spend hours in the library reading room skimming through the resources and preparing notes.

Faculty: I really love attending the classes of our teachers. They deliver lectures through interactive sessions. This makes the lectures really enjoyable. I never feel bored during classes.

Hostel: NMIMs Mumbai offers a number of accommodation options to students from outside the region. Students can go for either on-campus hostels or rented accommodation facilities. I am currently staying at one of the on-campus hostels. The facilities are quite good.

Overall: I am a fourth year student of B.Tech Computer Engineering course at NMIMS Mumbai. In the past three years, I have received massive support from teachers to seniors. Be it doubts during class or finding summer internships, the faculty has always been there for me. NMIMS Mumbai's gigantic campus is equipped with modern facilities.

Placement: I have received a pre placement offer all because of campus placement conducted by NMIMS Mumbai placement cell. After every year, we were offered summer internships that helped us to gain professional experience. Some of the recruiting partners of the university are Google, Amazon, Wipro, TCS etc.

Infrastructure: Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies Mumbai campus has a large number of facilities for students. The college has a well stocked library, modern classrooms for teaching, seminar halls, cafeteria etc. The institute has playgrounds for sports enthusiasts.

Faculty: The experienced faculty of NMIMS Mumbai has a handsome experience. The college has both young and experienced faculty members. Professors are always the first one to ensure students do not face any inconvenience.

Hostel: The college campus has individual hostels for boys and girls students. The hotel's rooms are spacious and offer a comfortable stay to students. Each hostel has a mess that provides delicious food to students.

Overall: MBA Pharmaceutical Management is a unique domain-specific course offered by the School of Business Management, NMIMS Mumbai. Getting admission to this programme is not very easy as students have to go through a two-step selection process, comprising NMAT and WAT-PI.

Placement: Our school provides very promising job opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry after graduation. Various national and multinational companies visit our campus and offer job opportunities with high-end salary packages.

Infrastructure: The Institute-Industry Connect at NMIMS Mumbai helps the students to interact with CEOs and HR Heads visiting the campus. Experts from the industry help us to broaden our perspectives on the industry and make us realise what to expect in the professional world.

Faculty: Our professors are well-connected with the industry and prepare us for the same through informative lectures and various extracurricular activities. We can approach them anytime during office hours with our queries, and they try their best to provide us with answers.

Hostel: Students from outside the state can stay at the on-campus hostel accommodation provided by the university. Students can also opt for NMUMS Mumbai’s rental accommodation facilities. All these accommodations are fully air-conditioned and come at a fee of Rs 2,50,000 - 3,00,000.

Overall: Parvin Dalal School of Entrepreneurship and Family Business Management offers a unique course called MBA Entrepreneurship and Family Business. This course is exclusively designed by the university keeping in mind the family business owners and managers. Candidates looking for admission to this programme must have been associated with at least one family business. They also need to take the entrance exam and personal interview conducted by the university as a part of the selection process.

Placement: This course helps the students to grow their family business in a more efficient manner. The university conducts various national and international educational tours to make its students equipped with the practical knowledge of running a family business. Our school also invites various expert guests and seasoned family business owners to provide us with insights into running and scaling a family business.

Infrastructure: Our school has a really resourceful library that helps us with our studies. The Y.K Bhushan Information and Knowledge Resource Centre is spread over 15,000 sq. ft. and has a rich collection of books, national and international journals, audio-visuals, CDs, VCDs, annual reports, management games, newsletters, etc. Students can also access news clippings, newsletters, and case studies at the library.

Faculty: Most of our faculty members are PhD holders with extensive teaching experience. Some of our professors include Dr. Prasad Ranade, Dr. Girish Bagale, Dr. Kalika Bansal, Dr. Naresh Poturaju, Dr. Rajib Roy, Dr. Beena Nair, and many others.

Hostel: Students can go for the on-campus hostels or the rental residential accommodation provided by the university if they need it. The hostels at NMIMS Mumbai are really great with air-conditioning facilities and other required facilities. The hostel charge may seem a bit expensive for some students.

Overall: One of the best decisions I've ever made was to enrol in the B.Pharma + MBA programme at NMIMS Mumbai. In my second year, faculty members and seniors have helped me at every turn. To ensure that students enjoy their time on campus, the college offers a wide variety of societies and clubs. Both domestic and foreign businesses are invited to participate in the job recruitment drive by the placement cell.

Placement: Students receive help from the placement cell in locating a summer internship after the first year is finished. To help students get ready for NMIMS Mumbai placements, workshops, seminars, guest lectures, mock interviews, etc. are held.

Infrastructure: The campus of the NMIMS in Mumbai is very enticing as well as equipped with all the comforts to give students a peaceful setting. The institute's well-stocked library and roomy reading room make it simple to obtain any management books or academic papers.

Faculty: The faculty of the institute is made up of both recently hired academics and seasoned professionals. Our professors make sure that each concept is understood by the students. In order to better prepare students for the future, faculty members also share with them their professional experiences.

Hostel: Both male and female students can stay in comfortable dorm rooms at NMIMS. The mess in the dorms is where the students' breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served. The mess's menu is updated frequently. The dormitory rooms are large and have good ventilation.

Overall: I am a student of B.Tech Computer Engineering currently studying in the 3rd year. Till now, I have received extensive support from my teachers and seniors. The college has facilities that allow us to gain both theoretical and practical knowledge. Summer internships are offered after completion of every even semester.

Placement: The placement cell of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies provides ample placement opportunities to B.Tech students. Our seniors are placed in reputed companies. Deloitte, Amazon, Google, Accenture etc. are some of the prominent recruiters of the college.

Infrastructure: NMIMS Mumbai campus has computer labs with latest software and hardware that allows us to do practical work. Further, the college has classrooms with LCD projectors, fully air conditioned auditorium, canteen, medical centre etc. for the convenience of students.

Faculty: The faculty at the campus has handsome experience of teaching. Further, some of them also have industrial experience. NMIMS Mumbai faculty always ensure students are understanding what is taught in the class.

Hostel: Although I am a local student, what I heard from my classmates is that NMIMS Mumbai hostels are spacious and equipped with basic amenities. The mess at the hostel serves quality food at a reasonable price.

Overall: I'm currently enrolled in the PGCBM course. The teachers provide guidance and are incredibly helpful. The fact that the school has knowledgeable instructors and that its course offerings follow industry standards and requirements is one of the biggest advantages of receiving a PGCBM from NMIMS Mumbai.

Placement: The placement cell on campus assists us at every step. It ensures that students get the greatest number of employment opportunities. Mock interviews, seminars, group discussions, and other training sessions are provided for students by the NMIMS Mumbai placement cell. Each year, companies like Goldman Sachs, ICICI Bank, Barclays, Wipro, and others hire students from NMIMS Mumbai.

Infrastructure: The NMIMS Mumbai campus has a lot of modern infrastructure and amenities. On campus, better learning is made possible by smart classrooms. WiFi, computer labs, and other amenities are available on the institute's campus for students. The canteen at NMIMS Mumbai serves delicious, fresh food to its students.

Faculty: The professors at NMIMS have years of training. Students can reach their subject professors at any time. They go above and beyond to answer students' inquiries, according to their preferences. However, some professors' assistance is restricted to the classroom. The institute's faculty is made up of both recently hired academics and seasoned professionals.

Hostel: The hostels at the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies offer separate rooms for boys and girls. Every day, the hostel's on-site mess serves delectable food. The menu at the mess is always changing and gives the students options. Hostel rooms can only accommodate one student at a time even though they are well ventilated.
